Can't there be a "mindless" themed holiday? Or a "thinkless" one? Just sprouting out ideas. What fun would that be! And no, I'm not speaking of murder or raping or necrofilia or any of that scheisse.
Not sleeping which seeing as I will be out today from two pm to one am working music shows...may not end well. Plus running to the notary, and the oil man (supposedly) coming in the morning. Now if I manage to drift off somewhere soon I could make it on a few hours but I don`t see that happening. Been a ....hectic night...and was cleaning up the aftermath of said hecticness and now I`m the only soul awake, my phones dead and charging, and the chaos of the day is just...silent. I`m quite enjoying, my unwinding time. Actually been rather productive on multiple things from eleven to now. My night owl mode has been activated. Thursday and Friday were kinda laggering/setting a pace now I`m just in charge through everything mode. Probably just leftover adrenaline and still being on edge, but I`m sure the Four Loco I shared didn`t hurt either. Also, if Some Guy can find a pic of any of the more disturbing Colonels they`ve used over the years I`d approve of that avatar. Don`t think they were ever as bad as Ronald Mcdonald but I`m sure there`s something out there. I`m vaguely remembering a kinda skinny live-action actor version.
This is a very pompous chicken. This portrait looks like it should be on a coin. Heads, of course. It denomination should be whatever the price of one chicken is, so a chicken at the grocery store would cost one chicken coin.
There is a time when antibiotics are necessary, though. They are one of the benefits of modern healthcare, PROVIDED they are not overused, misused or seen as a magic bullet to cure all ills. I'm a big believer in giving the body what it needs, including the vitamins and minerals and acids you mention. However, even that is no guarantee. I personally know people whose health and exercise regimes put mine to shame, who have been diagnosed with diabetes, cancer, you name it. There is a lot out there we don't know yet. But giving yourself the best start is a great idea. As for smoking ...don't go there. Good that you quit.
Not writing. Well, I was writing until I realized I was on a run there and typed out half of a short story draft in under two hours. Now that I realized I was doing well, however, I got anxious about running into a wall if I kept going and am now procrastinating on the internet. Oh brain, why do we have to be like this.
Yep, when the body's immune system is weak thus can't fight the infection. Agreed, overuse is detrimental. But here's the thing. If your body's immune system is weak, you will have to use antibiotics. But taking them doesn't develop the immune system, it takes over the job. So, on the one hand, great, you've destroyed the infection, but on the other, you haven't resolved the weak immune system problem, which means you're prone to more infections in the future. And if you don't build up your immune system, then you will have to rely on antibiotics again, and before you know it, hello overuse. As you continue to rely on them, your immune system will weaken simply from lack of use. How do you build up your immune system? One way is to give it a jolly good workout, and that won't happen if you always take antibiotics when suffering infection. The other is making sure your bod has all the essentials in your daily diet, which will improve the immune system, then exercise and sunlight for at least 20 mins a day. Also resolve your negative thoughts and feelings 'cus the research I've read clearly points to a negative state of mind has a direct connection to one's physical health, in that negativity weakens the immune system. I never mentioned anything about guarantees. I only talked about building up the immune system and why antibiotics hinders this. I've read plenty or articles of folks curing themselves of diabetes and cancer without the use of pharmaceuticals, and the majority of them talk about the strengthening of the immune system being an integral part. And since being on a physical health journey since 2008, a lot of what "we don't know" currently exists but the individual hasn't gone looking for it beyond what they believe are the only places medical knowledge exists, or if found, is dismissed as quackery because the sources aren't from university trained medical professionals or experts, though there are a growing number of such folks who are researching and proving such treatments work. Smoking is weird behaviour. All you're doing is blowing smoke outa your mouth, but due to growing up in a culture that promotes smoking as being a sign of coolness, and apart from dragons who can exhale fire, that makes humans the coolest creatures on earth, and what young person doesn't want to look cool in front of all their friends. I suspect there's an unconscious mesmerising occurring when a person sees another blow smoke, thus they too wanna be able to do this. When my body was young, no amount of smoking caused me any immediate harm, this then deeply established that smoking is not a problem. Meanwhile the actual daily damage accumulated and began to show up in my 40's. By then one has both a chemical and psychological addiction. I have the ability to quit cold turkey. Done so many times in the past. Sometimes smoking several packs, then quitting for months or over a year, then taking it up again. I ended up being a non-smoking smoker, and was never concerned when I took it up again due to the ability to quit without any struggle. But when I first arrived in Tassie and took up a couple of smokes a day, I severely broke something in my chest (all healed) when I smoked 5 one morning, then searched my soul and discovered the 'intermittent smoking' loophole in my subconscious and this time declared I will quit for life, not just for a season. Never had any physical or psychological urges to smoke since that day.
Agreed, hence seeking clarification. Even though 'Muricans and Aussies speak english, there's often huge differences in our colloquial expressions. Like 'Thong' in Oz are things you wear around your feet, and in the US, a thong is something you wear around your naughty bits, or fun bits, depending on the situation. Thus fun times could be had if you're in the US and your thong is now around your feet.
Debating this idea my mind made up whilst eating Wendy's. To buy this homeless man a meal, or not to buy, that is the debate. Filling his stomach for a few hours doesn't solve his problems, but kindness is needed for the cities invisible. But it won't do anything in the long run. This mental debate rages. Other than that, I have to go buy an early birthday gift for the little fuzzball. @Xander17 The movie was enjoyable, though rushed, which is understandable. However, like all things, I'd say it's best to experience it for yourself.
So no cringe worthy elements, no, "Mein himmel, that's just dumb or wrong or why is this here it doesn't match the rest of the movie", situations? Asking 'cus I no longer spend huge wads on movies, I spring cleaned my soul in 2017 and sold or gave away my huge DVD collection, and thus will only hit the theatre or make DVD purchases if the movie is exceptional. Put it this way, worth seeing on the big screen, or it was just an enjoyable way to spend a few hours?
Just a friendly, preemptive reminder from a mod: Let's not derail this thread with a discussion about antibiotics. Also, please nobody take any advice on medical issues from a stranger on the forum.
Nothing exceptional, just a fun way to spend two hours. The manga series is much better, as is the way of these adaptations.
