    Help with story Title?

Discussion in 'Discussion of Published Works' started by SugarCrushes, Jan 12, 2019.

I have been working on a story for a few months now but I'll still have no idea what to name it
I was hoping one of you might be able to help me a little
Anyway here is what is based on combined in a few statements
    One Lying Mother
    Two Unlikely Heroes
    Three Hours Left
Until the world they know is over
And I have some Very Unlucky Souls heading my way

Anyway Thanks you for viewing this and perhaps helping if you can!

I always found the best way to name something is the focus on the underlying structure of the story itself. Focus on the purpose of what you are writing, or the central idea, then derive a title from that. Maybe not a direct summation, but an allusion to the core of what your story is about. I feel that if you start from what's most important about the story, the titles possible become a collection of derivatives from the central plot, character, or setting.

And a story isn't really successful just because of its title. Put that stress of finding a title into the story and its cast.

It's true the story and characters are the key things in your story.
    But names do matter.
"And I have some Very Unlucky Souls heading my way" A bit unclear what this bit means?
    A few suggestions:
    Mother's Day
    Keeping Mum
    Family at War
    Final Countdown
