Also, the words "You have insufficient privileges to post here." I only joined this site so I could post a short story on here. I now seem to have posted thousands of words on here and yet still I'm unable to post it. Close to giving up, frankly.
You need two weeks membership and, IIRC, twenty posts to post to the workshop. That's to stop hit-and-run members who only want to post a story, get some crit, and bail. From what I've seen, you're acting like a new member in good faith, so once your time comes up, you'll be able to post away. Just remember, you need to give two critiques for every new thread you post to the workshop. THE RULES
People who complain without checking the FAQs or the Rules -- wait, maybe that should annoy us? Nah, it shouldn't. We were all first-timers once.
I dislike writing in a spiral notebook when the spiral is on the right (aka on the back side of a page). I'm right-handed, and I like to write all the way to the edge of the paper, so when my hand starts hitting that spiral it annoys me.
But I also dislike writing in notebooks that don't open like regular books.... what can I say, I'm hard to please lol
'Shouldn't' because that's just the media we have in this country today, but if you're going to interrupt my basketball game with a CBS News 'Special Report', please have something new to say about the Mueller report. Anybody who doesn't already know it was released to the AG doesn't care.
That feeling I get (and it isn't rare I get this feeling) of pretty much having to justify what I say, or don't, or do, or don't, to people giving me unsubtle hints they can see where I'm coming from when they're clearly not equipped for it. No I absolutely don't, and no, I'm absolutely not (if you only knew), so absolutely bugger off.
According to your profile you joined 9 years ago and you have enough posts. Paging @Komposten (since Wrey seems to have disappeared on a secret mission)
Advice I didn't ask for. Yes, I'm distinctly aware that said person has good intentions, usually. No, I do not care to hear Jack, Jill, Bill and Sarah-go-jerk-hickeys tips on child-rearing as 1) I didn't ask for said advice and 2) None of those people mentioned have or ever had children. Sometimes, its best to keep good intentions to oneself.
Don't start me on busy bodies who don't have children involving themselves in the lives of those who do have them. I feel a disconcerted angry rumbling coming on. *Just keep taking deep breaths...then punch them afterwards*
