Anyone know what kind of impact Duotrope’s daily highlight has? Does the publisher get a flood of queries?
I doubt it has too much of an impact. If you look at each publications listing, it tells you how many users have submitted there in the last year and have things pending. I know a little picture with a highlighted mention isn't enough for me to decide if a place is right for my work. And if you're on duotrope, it's pretty easy to find a lot of potential and suitable markets. They all get a flood of submissions all the time. Check out some of the editor interviews. Those can help somewhat. How do you like duotrope? I hope you are finding some good places to submit.
