What. You think i got dementia or something? No way. I may be old but I know what day of the week it is. Todays Monday right? see i toldya I was sharp.
All the time if i different staff working unusual shifts. Like if i see Tony the bartender I'll think it's Tuesday because he only works Tuesdays. Until he picks up a Monday. Now, this mixup wont last all day necessarily, but it will fuck me up a half dozen times at least.
Did that once. Thought I had a doctor's appointment on said day. Woke up, ate nothing and drove two miles to see the doc. Turns out the appointment was for that Friday...and it was Wednesday....
Thanks to a combination of working from home and depression, I've gone whole weeks without noticing the passage of time.
This happened to my Best friend. He unintentionally wakes up Sunday Morning at 7AM (thinking that it was a work day), as he was gathering his belongs and making his way to the front door... he heard a soft voice "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been to his house last night! Don't leave me!" He turned around and his wife was standing looking concerned. Then he realized what day it was and said "You know, I thought it was actually Monday, but I'll be heading over to my best friend's house now" Sure enough, he knocked on my door and explained the whole situation etc. Wow I feel bad for him.
I remember once getting ready to go to work and was halfway to my job when I realized it was Saturday.
