Hi everyone! So this could either be a bit of fun or it could be incredibly dull and get washed away by something infinitely more interesting in less than 12 minutes who knows? But give it a go if you like: Describe the plot of your current WIP in just 5 words. Feel free to ask people questions, discuss, do whatever, but give it a go!! Disclaimer: 90% of the time it took me to write this post was realising I had to come up with my own to start us off and I struggled. But here we go: Monster Comes To Island. Death. See how it goes!! Good luck, Piper
Novel 1: Spaceship gets hijacked, adventure happens. Novel 2: King hates job, tough shit. Novel 3: Mime witnesses murder, must talk novels 1 & 2 are in active planning, #3 just sounds like a good idea. Novel 4: Zombie with indigestion, salads only.
If you want to have some kind of extra inspiration, it might be good to get to Pratchett. - Otto Chriek - suicidal vampyre photographer who has problems with flashes. - Cheery Littlebottom - a dwarf who want's to behave a little undwarfish ways. - and some other identity ambivalencies. https://wiki.lspace.org/mediawiki/Otto_Chriek https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7128829-then-cheery-littlebottom-had-arrived-in-ankh-morpork-and-had-seen
Can I cheat and use acronyms? If so: Current WIP: LotR, but Sauron has amnesia Book on back burner: xenophobia's bad, get over it
my main squeeze is: "alien little mermaid meets Hitler" my side piece 1: "Little girl and identity crisis" side piece 2: "Male Snow White minus dwarves" (side pieces are short stories)
LOVE that mermaid - Hitler idea! I wonder though if Himmler would be a better person for the Mermaid to meet.
eeeh, she doesnt exactly meets hitler, but a hitler-esque character who believes his people are the ONLY people and all others should not exist, kind of thing. A character that is like "fall in line, or die." My main character doesn't "fall in line" with the community he is trying to create. I have nomadic tribes in my WIP which he completely wipes out for not conforming to his ideals. the "little mermaid" is more like a young woman who wants to know what life is like outside her community and makes sacrificing in order to leave her community to find out.
