I don't want to set the world on fire, but a classroom...

OT: Just finished up morning errands and I'm headed upstate via train. My Jeep I'm currently leasing is acting wonky, so she's in the shop.

Today is freaking beautiful outside. Need to take some pictures.

Regretting every decision I stopped to think about making. (It's messed up that my gut is more trustworthy than my mind.)

Hosting my weekly 'Club Soda,' or 'Club Water,' actually. Authorities send me batches of the deviants with the plastic habits. Being large I hold their faces under a tap. 'Drink it! Drink,' I scream rather well, and mostly they thank me after for their therapy session. 'All you need is one glass,' I tell them, tragic, tragic.

Also, also one of my ex-employees, or actually colleague, he was my supervisor, he attended one of those exact prisons you mention.

On his first day in prison the big monstrous chap said 'You chum, cellmate, shall carry all the drugs of the wing up your backside for everybody. How about it?'

He said yes, and spent his entire sentence wired on the spice/head of carpentry workshop.

I used to worry about the scene and my own Hobson's choice if I ever ended in such predicament.

Obviously I would do the Golden Virginia for my boys, like any man, but otherwise I thought to maybe rush the governor during assembly..free association...claim asylum among sex offenders?

    Other nights I sleep soundly.

Dozing off. Spent most of the day after mowing the lawn, adventuring. Took some photos, attempted to pet a bumblebee at least six times (failed) but I had fun nonetheless.

Sleep tonight will be realllly good.

Laying down with tea. Today went pretty well. Work went well enough, ran a few errands, made dinner, did some lighting cleaning and laundry. Need to do deeper cleaning after work tomorrow. Getting back to work helps keep momentum. Lots of time to think while working.

    Sitting - mainly.

Having one of those shitty days where I can't be motivated to do anything. They gray weather outside doesn't help one bit. Was debating taking a walk, but it's been raining on and off and it doesn't really seem worth it. I'm also trying to find inspiration for my next drawing, but I mainly want to go back to bed and sleep until... like... four when it's time to make dinner.

Not going to my walking group, as I'm pretty certain it isn't on this week. I recall them saying about how the next week would be the last one, and that wasn't last week.
Next they will do tag rugby...and no, I will not be participating in that!

Other than Youtube, I'm getting ready to pick up some cookies for a client I'll be meeting up with later (its something I do for all of them), then I'll be spending the day adventuring with the little fuzzball. Older brother is working late with his second job, so she's gotta hang with me. I'll treat her to pizza then get back to exploring stuff. So many places around here I haven't seen or been to.

Woke up with this huge bubble of water in my blister too. Was fun popping it, even if I got squirted in the face with foot water. :p

Onward, conquer the day! And stay awesome, you lot!

I agree that it's messed up\illogical that intuition is more reliable than the mind. As someone who had a severely messed up mind, the hugely positive about the mind is it can be reprogrammed.

I've learnt that one of the elements is the stored non beneficial programs, beliefs and emotional pain running in the subconscious that causes our messed up responses and decisions. The other is a weak mind simply from lack of quality and beneficial exercise.

For me, on my Know Thyself journey to sort my shit out, I cleaned out and replaced all non beneficial programs and beliefs (that I've discovered) and exercises my mind to be proficient at thinking things through.

What I found out was the simple reason my intuition was way better than my mind was my mind was cluttered up with crap and was weak from lack of use, including being heavily led astray be emotions, pos and neg ones...ie: instant gratification, desires, seeking pleasure and avoiding pain, fear.

And that most of the crap in our mind resides in the subconscious, thus we're unaware of the mental processes occuring at blistering speeds that precede the messed up things we do. It's called conditioning, and research shows we establish tons of response programs within the first 7 years of life, and logically, a child's intellect is undeveloped thus many beliefs and programs will be non-beneficial...

...hence the simple process of reprogramming with better ones as the intellect develops during adult hood, but unlike how physical growth is automatic, mental growth is a conscious effort, that I didn't start doing till my 30's, well after I suffered much damage.

"If you want to follow me to freedom, be prepared to swim upstream, against the river of conditioning. Be prepared to grapple continuously with the fierce flow of negative mental currents. In time our strokes will become effortless and our sense of purpose irresistible." - Buddha

"Mindfulness refers to keeping one's consciousness alive to the present reality. It is the miracle by which we master and restore ourselves." - Thich Nhat Hanh

Decided to finally use the new puta I built over a year ago, inspired by giving my current one to some friends who've been running a tiny slow and near useless system they got years ago, him and his missus aren't puta savvy.

I cleaned it out for them a while back as it was cluttered with crap from the internets, and they've never heard of defragging or any other puta maintenance. It ran a tad faster, but due to sub 1.5ghz cpu and crappy specs of m\b...ffs, it's that slow even web pages take time to load.

Been doing a full rebuilt of the old system. A 3ghz dual core 775 slot M\B, 4G ram, 500G HD inside a top of the range Antec gaming cases from the last century.
    - took it all apart and gave it a good clean out.
    - it was running a GT630 so took one of my spare older GTX cards (a 460) apart, cleaned and regreased.
    - partitioned HD into 4 drives - C: xp, D: programs, E: storage F: reinstall files.

    - bios always told me cpu fan was below 600rpm, but system never ran warm so I figured it was a bios glitch. Upon multiple bios default resets during rebuild, I decided to install spare cpu fan that took a while to find as I had to semi spring clean tool shed and omg, old fan actually was slow, concluding huge aftermarket heatsink kept cpu cool. M\B runs sweet now with bios reset with new default settings.

    - rear case fan bearing was slightly noisy so either take one front fan or buy new good quality one. New ones are now over $30, and found new one in box when I bought new case.

    - one of the two front fans was going fast and had fan noise. All these antec fans have small (-1cm) 3 speed switches but the switch for this fast one wasn't working.
Experimentation reveals glitch inside switch or broken wiring next to it.
So, fingers crossed, take cover off switch reveals some dumbass already did a resoldering job of switch pins and wires were frayed and fraternising.
Fired up me soldering iron and rebuilt connections and fan now has three speeds...low and med are quiet, high is only needed when some speedfreak OC the puta's brains out.

    - now one front fan sits in front of HD, other fan now sits on rear, and new spare fan sits on side cover, I cut the led wires on new fan...what the hell is with these led coloured case fans, was hard to find a non led one on eBay.

    - built cardboard inserts for all unused front slots, and realigned everything to look purdy.
    - cut and taped octagon shaped cardboard cover for top fan 200mm, as the 200miller has never been used...cardboard came from an antec psu box...nice.
What were Antec thinking, 4 x 120mmm fans not enough to keep system cool, let's whack a whopping 200mm one on the top.

    - fresh install of xp(and tweaked), relevant drivers and tech and internet programs.
Once I'm satified with base setting will do image of OS drive so future rebuilds only taked 15 mins.

Installation at mate's house on saturday...then can setup new system in me room.

To be fair I used to try and make them in the old days. Older boys mentioned some 'jar of worms'/another six-former covered his with cat food, and he had a cat. It's all common goal, same theme/stuff.

A friend once told me, with a completely straight face, that he would nail chicken breasts either side of a hole he'd made in a shed and errrm, use that. I still don't know if he was serious of not but he may well have been!
