Ice Cream!

@Night Herald, if it helps, you could make your own. My (electric) ice cream maker only cost $20. I can't speak for quality though since i haven't used it yet.

 

Ooh I love Tiger Tail. Had no idea it was just Canadian. Heavenly Hash is probably my favorite or just a really good French Vanilla.

 

• I like an ice cream float. Vanilla ice cream in a glass of cream soda.

• From an ice cream van, it might be a 99 with a flake, or a screwball (vanilla with strawberry sauce and bubblegum in the bottom).

• In a shop, Magnum double caramel, Mars, or a Cornetto.

• In Italy I had the loveliest vanilla ice cream, and what I called Smurf ice cream, as the writing had worn off the sign, but the image of a smurf remained. It was blue. The ice cream, as well as the Smurf.

First try at homemade ice cream. A bowl of Oreo is on the left, cherry on the right. It's good! It was very easy to make, too.

 

Ooooh those look good! They may be even better after 24-48 hours. When I got into making ice cream one summer some of the recipes, such as pistachio, called for a resting period for the flavor to develop after the ice cream was "done."It made a surprising difference, even when they were already good.

 

Vanilla is the kind I always go for. If not available, I will go for strawberry with strawberry chunks.

 

It's hard to beat a nice, creamy vanilla ice cream.

 

Why do you guys discriminate on the basis of flavor? It's ice cream!!

 

Are you telling me you're willing to love all of these flavours equally?

I am dubious as to whether Coenzyne Q10 has an actual flavor.

But yeah, maybe I wouldn't like them all equally. But I'd be willing to give them all a go.

 

And that's one of the reasons I like you.

 

They do seem to enjoy going to extremes. Look at their TV game shows!

 

The problem with girth is that it isn't satisfied with just being maintained.

 

I've learned that to my cost! Mind you, a new wardrobe every year can be fun. And tents come in so many colours these days. Not just khaki any more.

 

Speaking of having to wear a tent, I made yet another batch of ice cream today, this time coffee-flavored. Must stop!

Tonight's confection is a recipe-less experiment, using up what I had on hand. Frozen dark sweet cherries, canned pineapple, canned coconut milk, vanilla extract and sugar. Blended in the food processor but I didn't bother with the ice cream maker. It will be like frozen cherry pina coladas. Hey, I have some rum.

 

Just made some maple walnut. It has yet to harden, but it's already pretty good.

 

My sister makes a lemon marscapone icecream to die for....

If we're talking about buying, though, I'm a good little Aussie, and it's got to be the good old Golden Gaytime.
