Be careful about choosing a name that feels too spot on. Obviously, any little girl with cancer is going to pull at the heartstrings of readers regardless of her name. But something like Hope might be a little to cliche or on the nose. As you can see from the responses there are tons of name options. But how you develop the character is going to be far more important than the name you give her. Sometimes I like to pick names that seem like less likely options or a bit unexpected given the plot of the story. Then you write the story in such a way that it feels like no other name would be as appropriate. But since you're writing about a little girl with cancer, I'm not sure that's the best option, though, it could work. Names are easy enough to change. Focus more on character development. I think it's really hard to go wrong with names in fiction. However, I sort of hate when people make up super weird names, thinking it's some sort of brilliant creative move. It's usually not.
