Drinking the usual half-caff coffee brewed with cinnamon, with unsweetened vanilla almond milk and a bit of agave. I’m cat sitting and spent the night there (helps keep my charges out of trouble) but have some things to do today and want to get some writing in.
Espresso, going to write for a bit cause I need to make more progress on my WIP, so I can get it to the edititing phase (well a few inches closer). Then it is off to the swapmeet in about an hour, cause my dad wants to go out.
Gonna go outside. Spent the morning reading, which was it's own kind of fun, but now I just have to go out. Never was one to spend a day indoors, let alone a near week. Here's hoping all ends well. Won't be going too far, so it should be okay. Maybe I'll go to the park...the furthest one. Have a good Saturday everyone!
Back from the day. At the universal decree, all public transportation in my area has massive delays, so I couldn't go too far. Instead, I went to the bookstore about a mile from here an added to my backlog, like the fool I am. >_>; Gonna take a shower and chill out in bed with a book or three until dinner. Dinner, oh boy oh joy, another adventure.
Not sure if going to bed or wait for Lost to get home so I get to say goodnight. Plus I want to make the most of the weekend... and there's probably art to be made or something like that. I'm going to start with a cup of tea and go from there.
Drinking a mug of decaf green tea and looking over the last two scenes I wrote. A vintage plane just flew over, probably prepping for Memorial Day (this morning there were five of them flying in formation). Not to sound comically stupid or make light of war, but...My God, World War 2 must've been loud. ETA: I do like them, and upon hearing them I always run to the kitchen window to see them, but...damn they're loud!
Just got a a natural break on the WIP and there's still a drop of wine left in the bottle. Life is good.
It was on this day, in this hour, that we found out that @Justin Thyme had a stature of around 10 centimeters. Fore that would be the only way a bottle of wine would have lasted him so long.
I am waiting for the meds to kick in and hopefully knock out this headache. I haven't had one of these in forever. I guess there's lots of ickiness in the air from all the rain we've had.
Eating dinner at Curry in a hurry with my potty mouth friend. Invited me out, couldn't say no, so here I am. Nice night out. Would like to walk off the meal afterwards, but my body isn't up for it. Hehe, up. Anyway, food is great. Just have to wait for bud to get outta the bathroom for the company to match.
Currently, I'm being confused. I got a job alert to my inbox at 5.26 this morning. I then received an email from the same company saying this: We've noticed that you haven't been receiving any job alert results that match your search. So I guess the 4 you sent me 2 hours earlier don't count then?... Or the 13 sent on saturday?
Eating chocolate chip cookies. Only three, why? because there are only three of them because I'm a discipline MASTER. Not lying I am this is 100% the truth.
Found out that this is a thing they do today. Didn't know we had enough midgets in the community to warrrant such an event.
6am: heating up me stew and a side order of pineapple for breakie. Been raining of late, and though it's winter it's been a warm one and the grass has some large clumps here and there, it was dry yesterday and the sky is again clear so it's mowing today once the dew is gone. New puta runs fast, efficient and quiet, couldn't help myself and bought another 2nd hand vid card, a pristine MSI GTX 570. Not fussed on the looks but it's a quality card. Puta now fully functional thus I've enthusiastically gotten back to the final edit of me book. Trying to sent it to publishers before midyear.
Contemplating what class and race I would be if I were a DND character. Oi, it got complicated quick.
Bacon and egg sandwich for lunch, and boy did it hit the spot. Possibly get some more writing and break 102K on WIP later. Get vid for YT completed and uploaded. Watch really disturbing movie, cause why not. Happy Sunday.
Damn, I'm 'outed' at last. Tell you what though, it's a relief to finally be able to talk about the problems of using a keyboard that I literally have to walk around to hit the top row keys. I mean, if I was a more realistic height (was going to say 'size' but we all know where that would lead.) I'd be walking about twenty miles a day. Long live the altitudinally challenged. Although I believe that, sadly, they don't have the same life expectancy as the altitudinally un-challenged.
As far as we know! I'd buy that, for a dollar. I'm ready to believe you! fuhk nah, force it. Break it. Parody it. Then fix it. I wrote a rant for my MC and had a giant hammer come down and flatten him (by public vote). After that, I did end up using some of the dialog.
RE: quote thread about good people under shabby clothing... I still get wrongly judged by folks who judge by my shabby appearance. Due to my dysfunctional upbringing I developed an anti-social anti-establishment mentality, eventually weeding out the negatives and holding onto the positive aspects of such a MO. I think things through and if a current trend or social norm is either irrational or goes against my personal preferences, I simply don't comply. Add to that I don't give a dingo's kidney about my social appearance, though I'm now quite active in my physical health and well being, which will equate to a better looking bod, though I do it for myself and not for other's approval or to appear more attractive. I only wear shoes if it's really hot or cold, I rarely brush my hair and I've never trimmed me beard. Me ute remains constantly dirty and is amassing spiderwebs in various locations, and I wear my t-shirts inside out so as to avoid itching from the tags. ( I learnt that if you rip tags off you can undo the stitching, or if you cut them off as best as possible, itching may still occur, thus easier to just wear inside out.) I get judged by folks from all walks of life... - middle class folks who unconsciously think they're better than working class. - little old ladies from the previous generation who think it's a crime to go out in public without shoes on. - anyone who's biased against hippies, even though I'm not a hippy but my appearance leans in that direction. - Oddly, I'm never judged about my age inappropriate dress. I'm coming up to 60 and I still wear casual clothing that teens to 30s wear. Young folks don't seem to judge me. The good thing about not being time orientated is I never consider how I'm meant to behave at the age I'd be at. I simply be myself without being bound by social norms, while retaining a level of respect for others insecurities and other soul dysfunctions that would cause them to suffer in the imperfect social landscape. And sometimes I'll have a positive experience of a person who wrongly judged me, gets to know me a bit and changes their minds about me, and has a light bulb moment about the glitch in their programming.
Excellent timing with reality. It was clear in the morning, I lost track of time and by 11am it was fully overcast. The grass was still wet, but I chanced to mow, and had to finish by 1:30 at the latest so I could hit the dump before closing time. Grass gets a tad smelly and heats up a lot as it ferments under the tonneau cover if it sits in the tub for more than a day as tuesdays and thursdays are closed. Only got half the yard done as it began to rain, but I just got all the long sections done, and it was 1 when I finished so I couldn't have gotten it all done anyways. Now sitting in the village havin' a coffee. The rain is once again settling in for the long haul, so it was a wise move to mow in that small window of dry weather.
