Hello WritingForums, My name is Arariel. I'm not going to lie; this is quite strange to me. It's been 3+ years since I have joined a new forum and made an introduction so I may be a tad rusty! I am 23 years old. Started out doing fanfiction, blah blah blah, fast forward to now. My goal for this year was to publish a book, this is still my goal, and with around eight books written, ready to be published, I am not quite ready to hit that button... So, that's what has brought me here. I look forward to reading, sharing and having fun! Thank you, Arariel.

Fanfiction? I think you'll find many people on the forum who either started with that, or are still writing it. What kind of fanfiction were you attracted to? And does that attraction still exist, or have you moved on to pastures new? Very interesting to have a person join up who has already written so many books. I can only add to what Iain and the others have said. Get to know the place, look in on any threads that interest you, put in comments where you want to, etc. Also, in addition to reading the links Iain sent you—the New Member Start Guide is essential if you plan to put any of your work up for critique—feel free to explore the tabs at the top of any page. Lots is hidden under the hood/bonnet on this forum, so have a good look around. For example, you can get to know a bit more about the Moderators of the forum by checking here.
