Hi, everyone!! How you doing? I just signed in into the site and I'm excited to see all the wonderful tips and advices from the users to improve my writing Right now I'm planning into writing my very own book, but I think I still need to improve several aspects in order to do fulfill my true potential. Until now I've only wrote short stories and fanfictions for practicing prose and getting in character. I absolutely adore creating characters and, just as any author, I’m pretty much obsessed with them. They are my babies! I'm excited to get to know all the writing ideas and advices that all of you have to give and I'm looking forward to learn from all of you! You guys are my new mentors!!
1. Write what you know means write what you know emotionally from your own personal experience. 2. Read a lot. Write a lot. Live life a lot. 3. Learn to self reflect your life, thinking, communication, identities and their struggle with your self. 4. Go to the original sources, real life, reality, truth, facts... 5. Keep your thinking your own individual thinking. Keep long, long emotional & intellectual distance both to puppet masters and puppets. (It can be hard sometimes. And you need to be able to intellectual, social, ideological and political self reflecting to do it.) 6. Study your mistakes. Learn from them. Your own mistakes are the best teachers you ever get - but only if you see them, recognise them, admit them and grow out of them. 7. Don't trust anyone who has political and/or ideological agenda. They try to slave your mind, kill your soul/self/inner essence and replace it with group identities.

There will be many members here, like yourself, who have thought up stories they want to write, but are just getting started. We also have many members who are already published, or nearing the publication stage. So there's quite a variety of experience here, and a LOT of variety of interest. I hope you get acquainted with people who share your interests as well as people who might be able to help you get started and keep moving forward. Feel free to explore around, see what interests you. Also explore the menu bar at the top of the Community Page. If you go to Information and scroll down, the FAQ section should open up lots of possibilities. This isn't a question-answer setup, but rather an extensive list of links to get you to various parts of the forum. Also, be sure to read the three sections linked below, before you go any further, if you haven't already. These will keep you right as to what the forum offers and what kinds of things you are welcome to do, and what kinds of things we don't allow. The New Members Start Guide is probably the best place to start off. Then the Rules, which are more comprehensive and apply to everybody on the forum, new or longstanding member. The staff guide lets you get to know us, the moderators, a bit better! The last two SuperModerators listed are relatively new.
