Andermatt, Switzerland. Usually the place people go to ski, but its apparently a very calm and beautiful area during the warmer months. I'm in long need for some time away from this hectic city.

Learning how to make potable water from dirty water. And not very effectively, clearly.

I think this has to be the most bizarre reason to date that I love you for. :superlaugh:
When I was a kid, they were called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. I have a suspicion that April is where I got my fondness of redheads from.

All music is copied, so I can rid myself of the cds. My craft drawers are very empty. I now have only 2 in use, and one tin. Though the tin could easily go into a drawer. I am trying not to think about the idea of donating my beloved multicoloured drawers when I move. I got them some years back as a Christmas present to myself. Some people love their cars...I love some plastic storage drawers. :p

Getting ready for last day at work. Most people has taken today off... so I'm dreading I'll have to work with the crazy old man today again.

Mostly want it to be over so I can get home and crash. I dont get enough sleep on morning weeks :sleepy:

In Tribeca snacking on honey roasted peanuts and enjoying the heat. Looked at a few places for living since I'm really tired of living in a shithole. Should be finished by 4:30, then the day is mine.

Lots of nice sights around here. Including the "new" World Trade Center. And this building that looks like it was made stacking boxes atop each other.

    Peace forumies.

Getting a Latex editor etc. installed on my computer. Apparently it's a lot more complicated than it needs to be. The things I go through because I need to format mathematical equations and stuff...

Trying to find out if it would be cheaper to move to Northern Ireland, than back to the UK.

I thought Northern Ireland was part of the UK. So you should be able to move to Northern Ireland and back to the UK simply by staying put.

My bad. I should have stated England rather than the UK.
I do wonder what would happen if Ireland reunited though. I assume it would all become a Republic, and stay in the EU.

The residents of the North might have something to say about that.

Also, Ireland has never been both united and an independent state at the same time, so it'd be uniting, not reuniting. We English didn't steal the top corner away from the Republic, we owned the lot and then kept the top corner when we let the Republic rule themselves.

It's much like saying England would "give back" the Falklands to Argentina, when Argentina has never owned them.

    The more you know!

the politics of to whom Ulster 'belongs' are contentious, so let's not go there in this thread - that's debate room territory

Oh, heck. I still have cassette tapes I need to copy into the PC. Maybe by now I can afford the technology-- if it's still around.

I miss mix tapes. There's something oddly personal and romantic about them. It's like, someone made the effort and took the time thinking about you and them and the things they love in relation to you, going out of thier way to give you a small piece of their soul. Not really a feeling that a pile of random Youtube links has managed to duplicate for me.
