Getting ready to start packing. Good thing my family practices the ancient art of cramming whatever doesn't fit in a box into a trash bag!

I'm hoping you're packing for a nice holiday, and not having to move house. :)

Nope. I'm moving. In reality we started moving like a month ago, but since we hadn't found a house yet we've been staying with family. Properly moving into the new house tonight (I call bullshit on this thing being a trailer, it's the biggest house I've ever lived in.) So I get to cram all my bedding and clothes back into the boxes and trash bags and backpacks they came out of, except the futon mattress. Not even God could put that thing back in the box.

Always good to get a head start on it if you can. :)
I'll be moving within the next 18 months too, and I'm kinda dreading it. I've been getting rid of a lot of stuff lately, but what I have leftover is still too much to take with me. I don't plan on flying with more than a large suitcase and my backpack.

What am I doing? Currently aching all over.
Nothing unusal about me ride yesterday, avg times.
Smoothie at 5am, temp in bike shed was 6 degrees at 8am but wasn't the coldest I've ridden in this winter. (can now do outside temp readings)
Was sore in the village, this time taking it easier on the return leg, still did a 56.
Last time I has 2 weeks off from riding, wasn't this sore. I suspect potato gems added to the battered fish after the ride is the culprit. Will experiment.

Head, neck, shoulders too sore for writing, 100% rest day.
Time to break out a batch of stew, pineapple and cold orange juice.

Came across keto diet vids, looking into keto coffee and other such quick and easy health hacks. Also planning on another 7 day water fast.

Listening to Rage Against the Machine, and wondering how @flawed personality posting Chili Peppers led to this. Love the music so not complaining.

The futon will always be a mysterious beast.

The third to last sentence made this come to mind.

Really though may you rest up and feel better. Hope you're experimenting yields desired results.

....youtube autoplay just has me listening to Wheels on The Bus.....my youtube watch history would look so bizarre to an outsider.

Today started out I was gonna go to work come home be lazy...turned into a weird mixed day. Work wasn`t terrible a small number of rooms went pretty standard took home some chocolate. Got told to keep up the good work by a supervisor....was a preface to telling me I need to be faster but I`m still gonna take it. Don`t really want to be there for longer then I need to be looking into other longer-term options. The jobs not bad pays good enough and far better than living off 300 every two weeks. They treat you well enough but, the psychical toll on my already unhealthy body probably gonna have bad effects long term. They squeeze every last hour they can out of you, constantly feeling worn. No life outside of work, which is fine by me but I do have my community programs I do like to be a part of. Plus the writing on the wall spells shitshow. The manager and supervisor can`t agree on the actual rules, someone who multiple coworkers have complained about is getting promoted and from having worked with her I personally know for a fact she cuts corners. Then brags about "being" the fastest". I mean there was still hair all over that bathroom but sure. They let her inspect her own room so who will ever know? I mean other than the guest. Our scores are already the lowest they`ve been in years corporates sending inspectors. Never planned for it to be long long term but a year or two at least. Now I don`t even know not gonna rush it. I`ll be there until I can get something else set up. Took me so long to get this, though.

Made good tips today though thats good. An awkward moment involving a coworker telling a coworker men our like food and that you gotta try new things sometimes. Then pointing to me with "he probably tastes good." I shuffled out of the elevator at that point. I think she's trying to play matchmaker with me and the other coworker, I`ve definitely clocked things. I`m not here for any of that, I just want to earn my check and go home. Plus....I don`t understand people.......so my "clocking" things isn`t always accurate so I ignore it until it goes away. That`s a healthy solution right?

Works wild, but the morning was the real tone shift. Dog knocked some stuff down in mothers garden and that turned out to be a trigger. She`s prone to depressive, volatile, manic, etc episodes lately they`ve mostly be the second one. Threw some pots and soil around, talking about why try anything why bother breathing and etc, and about got us into an accident on the way to work. Didn`t quite like leaving her in that state but it was all like 30 minutes from my clock in far too late to call off. All seemed well when I got off hours later. Probably gonna be the usual and it`ll never be discussed again.

I`ve also firmly settled on wanting to pursue a social work degree soooo yeah interesting.

Unwinding right now as I wait on laundry might do some writing in a bit. Writing of what I`m not sure of yet.

Trying to get my head around US immigration processes, by writing it out.
Then I'll do the same for the UK, to see if we can work out the best way forward.

I was going to ask if I can come over...but then I remembered that you live in permafrost territory. :p
Maybe we should adopt saunas over here. That would be one thing to brighten our lives...but we can't even master broadband coverage or water pressure.

My wife & kids were in sauna before me. Youngest came out first and I had to wait until wife gets out before I could go.

You could have been there at the same time with wife & kids but not with me. I wanted to be there alone for two reasons:

    1. Huge amount of 100 years old dust from sawdust & dry moss. (I did work a bit with an old house today.)

    2. I wanted to meet sauna gnome. And as you know that happens only alone.

    Laying in bed in pain

Too exhausted and worn out lately. Im slower then my coworkers and i still feel like im on the brink of death every day......probabbly not a good sign. Gonna have to start making plans for an exit. If they dont make one for me.

For today gotta get through nest i can, start a summer program working with kids at the gym, get my routine set up better, and not die.

    Yeet.

Finally installed the wifi card in me puta. Took a while to get it to connect, had to reinstall clean OS HD image and not use the connect software it came with.
Bloody hell the forum is huge on me 19" monitor compared to me 10" tablet.
Haven't used the puta for surfing for over a year, it's visually disorientating.

The EVGA GTX275 is sweet, fan is super quite, sign it's been well looked after and had a mild life.

Mechanic today in 2 more hours, sky is...hang a mo...checking...it's 50\50 for rain..I envision I'll be able to ride home.

While in Lonnie yesterday and thrashing over The Sidling on the way home, I'm once again convinced I've broken the left engine mount... and it'd require both mounts to be broken to screw up the fuel line. Though I suspect a subtle problem, hoping the mechs can suss it out.

New office chair was primarily uncomfortable 'cus the old wooden flooring has, over the years, dropped in the centre of the room.
Had to level off chair by 10mm.

Keto coffee tomorrow as the MCT oil can cause issues when first tried, don't want any surprises while riding to and from the village. No drivetrain mods yet, was still sore sunday and monday.

First time for Nutribullet this morn, actually well built in all aspects compared to the 50s scifi movie style Kambrook I've been running.

~laughs~ Dull brain when ill or tired, (some folks would say duller) didn't see the connect of the vid to my comment since yesterday till right now.

Cheers. My bod no longer likes certain carbs ( and I suspect they also have preservatives and other artifical additives). If I have bread (zero bread for a couple of years now), burger bun ( every now and then when I'm out) or crumbed fish of chicken or battered fish, my joints ache and crack for well over 24hrs. This last hit my neck felt and sounded like it was full of gravel. Joints ached all over, leg muscles were extra sore. Neck started to settle down late yesterday.

I can't recall exactly if I read or watched a YT vid, stating to be careful about what you eat after strenuous exercise as the chemicals ( good or bad ones as you can suffer from an overdose of good chems too) in the food goes straight into whatever part of the bod requires healing or rebuilding, hence extra sore leg muscles, and neck joints or muscles after eating too much crappy carbs.
Simple experiment, repeat exercise and eat same food as last time, then do another exercise and have different food.

The other element might be that due to cold weather I was unconsciously putting extra tension on my neck. I was repeatedly having to run a heat pack on my left hand when I first started winter riding, left hand will go numb long before right, and right rarely does this. Since then I now consciously focus on hand tension while riding, rechecked bike for straightness and seating position, body posture etc...but for reasons not yet understood, I notice I tense left hand and arm more than right. Could be a simple thing of the left arm and hand being weaker as I'm right handed, thus I unconsciously tighten grip, and I have noticed a decent drop in grip level when in cold weather, the bod freezes up and you reduce the ability to move.

Same. I was still enjoying reading Dr. Suess while in high school, and while single parenting, my early teen Dawta's friend thought I was joking when I said Fly Away Home was one of my fav movies. I suspect it has to do with conditioning, stereotyping, thinking folks of specific gender, age and dress, etc will only be or do or like certain things, and you're weird if you're outside of those boundaries.

You may have already shared, but what's the job?

Same, I was so confused for years within social settings. Human behaviour had me stumped for a long time. Amazed I managed to get married, be a good father and single parent and have friends despite my immence lack of understanding.

Solution for me was the more I understood myself, for I was on a 'sorting my shit out' journey, thus I began to understand human nature through self examination, development and repair, thus this understanding could be applied to other humans.
Since 2008 I'm no longer adversely affected by other's behaviour. Of course, I don't always know the facts of the underlying nature of a specific person, but I now know how to choose to remain calm, insghtful and compassionate in weird or difficult social situations, and can allow others to do and say whatever they want without being confused or troubled.

The Contessa is still like your mum, my eldest brother also was and was I for the first 40 years.
Main suspects, based on experience, little or zero self love\an inferiority complex\low self worth and non-beneficial coping skills.

    Nice!

Unwinding. A most pleasant and soothing experience.
Some thoughts on the matter, from someone who's experienced 3 breakdowns and a suicide attempt.

"Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, maybe you should set up a life you don't need to escape from." - Seth Godin

To unwind signifies one has been wound up. Discover what winds you up, then resolve them, then you no longer have to unwind because life is now lived in a state of unwoundness...unwindability. The key is to not remove the external elements that are only the instigating situations one finds oneself in, but to resolve the underlying dysfunctional elements within oneself that are triggered from such situations.

Mein himmel, it's already time to hit the mechanics.

Thats who keeps taking those from my rooms!!!! .......really though havent encountered to many stolen ones. Most people dont even use them. Makes it easier on the house keeper. Dont gotta stock it.

Today was good, work went pretty well. Tips have gone down but...meh. Came home kinda putterd. About ten allready still few more things to do but I rush around at work. Taking my time at home. If i didnt clock on at eight thirty id give in fully to my night owl nature.

About put on some water for tea, have some podcasts running (the savy psychologist right now), should make my bed before i lay down, and then sit down with my tea at the laptop before bed to work on some things.

Yup, left engine mount broken, but no damage to fuel system, mech things fuel smell caused by recent collapse of muffler. Suggests to keep an eye on things after new stainless one installed next tuesdee.

Buying solid rubber mounts all round, replacing gearbox one even if it don't need it. About 5 weeks away, so less hooning till then, don't wanna break the other one.

Also, when the line out the back of the petrol tank came off down the Sidling, this is a common thing if the plastic elbow was never reinstalled properly (it's a press clip lock design similar to child proof caps on bottles), they can stay seated for years with no fuel leak, then just 'cus it felt like it, pop off..just like mine did. Had the car since 2014.

Didn't get wet on the ride home, though fully overcast dark grey sky.
2pm rode in to pick ute up, dry for 2 mins till I hit the main road, then got reasonably soaked. Sky was patchy so decided to just ride to the village no matter what, had a change of clothes in me backpack.

Rained for 40 mins, sun made a small appearance for last 20. Was enjoyable to ride in the cold rain, shoes had 5mm of water in 'em by the end, socks totally soaked. Backpack slightly wet, spare clothes equally but not too bad. Now in me ute outside the cafe about to have my second coffee.

Now I've experienced cold wet riding, don't have to concern myself during normal exercise rides if I get caught out. Hey, if Wim Hof can climb a snow covered mountain for 6 hrs only wearing shorts and a singlet, I can ride in the rain for an hour and not suffer any ill effects. I actually feel quite invigorated, though my bare feet are shaking clenched fists at me as I type.
