Star Trek Voyager’s theme music. Or could it be the humming sounds of spaceships -my lullaby. Either way, happy times.
I won a paid for spot in a university accelerator programme today. Going to fly to Melbourne for 3 days next week and then again the following week. The upside is its a project I've been keeping warm for about a decade and it's great it's finally come to fruition. Depending on how the mini-course goes, the project will also get funding to be in an incubator for 3 months full time from September. This one may actually pay for my retirement. Here's hoping! The downside is that it's going to distract me from my already limited time writing so I might end up a lot more scarce round here. It's @IainAschendale 's fault, of course.
Wait, incubator, accelerator... How long does your kind usually take to hatch? Spoiler Need answer fast.
About 3 months. We will be taking over the world rapidly due to the reduced incubation time. The puny human race had better watch out, bwahhahaha!
Had a digital clear out. I deleted a bunch of historical emails and folders. I've deleted 2 social media accounts, and logged out of another because you can't seem to close it permanently. I removed my info and pictures prior to that, as that was the best I could do.
@flawed personality the only reason I keep Facebook is because I keep in touch with friends I've moved away from and my extended family on it. Even then, I'm on it for short bursts and don't really share much. I always say thanks to those who wish me a happy birthday though. As for my happy, other half and I agreed to tie the knot. It's going to be small because it's better for our sanity in a lot of ways, but yeah.
Three days until payday. Won't be able to use it really for saving reasons... but feels good I'm actually getting paid for all my hard work. Also... my apartment will be for sale soon. I want it out of the way so I'll know what month I'll be moving, but I guess it might take some time. I just don't want to be stuck in Sweden too long once my job ends.
It's a little thing, but my hair's finally grown out long enough that I can do all kindsa braids and buns and fun things with it. Gonna go around looking like the elven princess of my dreams.
I am easy to please. I'm happy. Why? Because I got a load of sheets dry. Outside. On the line. In July. In Scotland. Of course it's clouding over again, so glad I didn't go for two. Towels will need to wait for another month.
