It is looking pretty good that rain is coming. (Crap for painting, but the wind only aids to that hindrance.)
We have ordinances forbidding the hanging of sheets, clothes, and towels around here. Presents a vibe of unsophistication that depresses property values, apparently. True story.
Yup, first semester runs April-late July, second is September-end of December. Japanese get paid once a month as well, so everyone compares their monthly rather than annual income.
Encourage people to use a free renewable resource or be a load of pretentious tits.... Decisions, decisions.
Got laundry and dinner done on time. Plus I stood up for myself and said a clear "no" to someone very pushy.
Gotta earn it like everyone else. Amuse or dazzle me with something brilliant. They are not just something given in wanton fashion.
Ach. Your neighbours are all in the automatic dryer sales business, I reckon. How do they feel about sheets, towels and clothing draped on all the house radiators? Indoors?
Had a good time this afternoon in a small pool, floating in an inflatable pineapple-shaped tube (well, as far as a tube can be pineapple-shaped, but I guess you get the picture). Thogh the water was shallow, my feet didn‘t meet the ground, and when I closed my eyes, I could imagine to be anywhere (at least till I reached the rim). We had 35 degrees Celsius today, and during the week it will get worse, so it’s not too hard to guess where - whenever time allows it - I‘ll be.
Got my new sketchbook in the mail today. 80 spreads and is supposed to work with watercolor! I'm going to use it as a sketch journal for when I move to sort of capture the experience in pictures, sketches and other things that will fit the format. It's both a way to get into daily sketching, a bit of a coping thing and also for keeping memories. As someone who never kept a diary I'm not sure how it'll go, but I feel sort of excited to start. (Even if it's two or three months until then)
Must be a minimum of 90 pound paper for use with water color. https://emptyeasel.com/2013/08/27/how-to-choose-the-right-watercolor-paper-weight-texture-color-explained/
Got a decent start on painting, had to stop cause a massive dark squall is coming in from the south, and I don't want to risk anything getting rinsed off in the rain. But I got most of the main color done on the west side of the house, not going to worry about the trim until the whole house is coated in the main color though.
