Oh, that's awful! Who on Earth would throw a kitten in the bin? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend or belittle you and the stress you put yourself under to feed these cats, and I certainly don't think it was the right thing to do to dump Niovi. I was just trying to clarify that at least the person was dumping her with someone who's been known to feed strays (which is good for the cat, but not for you, of course) rather than leaving her to die of starvation or exposure. I'll stop trying to explain other people's situations and let you do the talking from now on. And by the way, I think what you're doing for these cats is amazing. The world could do with more people like you. Maybe that would lessen your burden.
I didn't take any offense. I just wanted to explain my reasoning because many people told me: "At least he was a good samaritan, because...". I didn't get mad at you, it's just that I am mad with the person that did that.

My dad got me a new 1440p monitor, replacing my old borrowed third display. It doesn’t have as many pixels as a full-on 4K monitor, but it’s gratifying to drag a half-screen window over from one of my 1080p units and watch it magically take up less space. Also good for those giant programming applications with a million subpanels.
Just heard that no.1 son can now call himself Doctor of Chiropractic - woo-hoo it's been a long ride!
My apartment went up for sale today! It's a bit delayed since my real estate agent miss-sent an email about it in the begining of the week, but now it's up! My apartment looked great and while I won't get as much as I'd hoped for it but it's likely to sell fast. I live 15 min from a popular University town with lacking living space and the apartment is cheap enough to be attractive to a desperate student. Looks like I'm out of the country by mid September!
Found a three-hole punch at a yard sale for a dollar that lets me smash through 50 sheets of paper at once.
Auction for me Queen records ends today. I put them out for 350:- and they're now over 1400:- With my camera and some jewler this weeks auctions are up to £198, with the chance for some last minute bids! I think they're the last things that will be up for auction. Still got some things to sell, which can't be shipped. There's also a chance that my cousin will take most of my furnitures so I won't think about them.
There is a ladybug in my apartment. It's flying around the lamp like it's at a party haha. Gonna catch it and let it crawl on my hands for a few hours. Feeling pretty tired from today's fun. Great day, all hail the disco ladybug.
The biggest stumbling block in the way of me getting my legal name change has finally been overcome! Now I can finally go through with the process and hopefully have a brand new name by the end of the year!!
Happy birthday to him! I've put away some of my old toys that lived on my bookcase, so now I no longer have piles of books all over my room!
Worked with a proper Nottinghamshire man today who said 'thee and thou,' and by tomorrow (PM) I shall have told him (everything). 'Barry, you know, your dialect, I mean you might as well be the chopper from Lady Chatterley, very manly chopper, can I call you Chopper? Have you read "Lady Chatterley?" May I read extracts perhaps, buddy? I brought it with me.' Lawrence (swoon) ..
Man: "Will thou be dressed as thou art in thy avatar?" (Forgive me if I screwed that up...Maybe he's dyslexic.)
I found milk in a glass bottle today, so I'll be buying that next time. As an extra bonus, it's made in the next county over, so it's local too.
I cannot wait to see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Cannot. The reviews are uneven, although several of my own favoured critiques suggesting the genius has made his masterpiece are giving me great hope. Tarantino is probably my favourite director with Paul Thomas Anderson. I haven't been this excited about an artistic release in a long time. Though when I say I "can't" wait, I'm not going tonight because (this sounds snobbish, I know and I don't care) the loud popcorn eaters who'll want to see it for reasons less noble than mine will be out en masse. OK I'm not just snobbish - I'm a mean, elitist little cow. Tonight I'm out to see Blinded by the Light. But next Friday, or the one after... I'll just need to shut my eyes and cover my ears at the violent parts, which I'm used to.
Well, I think I actually finished the first draft of a short story at 838 words. It’s odd, it doesn’t *feel* like I’ve finished anything, yet I think I did.
Except you have no idea how many discoveries were made in chemistry by people licking something, either accidentally or on purpose.
I know. 1 274. And I know her name was Ethel, she was a lab assistant and only one time someone licked her accidentally.
I am happy to be resuming my English degree with a minor in creative writing. It's been nearly a decade, but now life is stable enough to finish it off and maybe go down the MA route. We shall see. I like getting started again, especially with only around a year of it left to complete. Time should fly by.
