Weirdly enough I have less of a problem with furs than diamonds. Fur is at least a renewable resource, and had far less of an impact on the environment, if managed properly. You can get a dozen furs and still leave the environment in a relatively untouched state, whereas getting a couple of dozen diamonds requires moving a few tonnes of dirt around.

I'm with you, and if it's going to happen anyway, at least it's being farmed more often now.

Yeah, pretty much anything we do on an industrial scale has serious ecological impacts regardless of what it is. Crop farming is fine on the small scale, but ramp that up and all of a sudden you've got dust bowls and mudslides. Sheep and cows are fine when you've got one or two per family, but ramp that up to ranches with a thousand head each and you're stripping acres of of its vegetation and killing the atmosphere with methane. It's almost like, most of the things we do, the planets cool with, just not on the scale we do it. Like how your dorm mate is cool with you pilfing one of their Oreos on occasion, but take too many too often and they have a complete meltdown.

That actually annoys me as well. It's why I always choose short names, makes it easier to speak to members, I find.

There's no such thing as 'melted cheese' in the restaurant business anymore - it's always 'melty cheese'. What are we, all six years old?

Now I haven't tried any, but I hear Long Island wines are fantastic. I get what you're saying though. Colorado wines are overpriced and boring.

My roommate puts the clothes he's about to wear in the dryer while he showers (yes, there's a Seinfeld episode where Kramer does this). He takes two showers every day so runs the dryer twice a day and that's not even when he does laundry (which he does a lot because he owns like 3 shirts). He also wonders why our electric bill is high (also might have to do with the second full-size fridge that he has just for his beer).

Trying to quote a small section of a forum post using an iPhone. It’s just taken me about 10 minutes to do what would’ve taken 10 seconds to on my desktop!!

Describing outfits like Uber and Lyft as 'rideshare'. They're taxicabs, plain and simple - no sharing involved.

Overtly helpful employees. I know its your job an I don't have any negative thoughts at all surrounding that. In fact, I'm glad you're not depressed due to constant abuse by other customers. However, if I say "No, I don't need help" three times and you insist on trying to help me - annoyance incoming.

When an employee asks you if you need help with anything and you say no, only to find out several seconds later that you do actually need their help.

This is when we smile, crack a joke about now needing help, then... get ignored because they're on break.
