I think Krosa and Justiina look a bit similar. A bit round habitus, angry face, calm in the center...

Hope you and Mrs A don't have too violent experience when the rolling pin of Jus.... Krosa hits there.

Was out on the morning run when I ran into this beauty right here,

Tried to pick it up, since it was resting on a walking path and someone would stomp on it. But when I tried, it flew off, so mission accomplished.

Coming home from my ride I decided to snap some pics for you. This is the old stock yard station: The tree close to the logs is where the Echidnas were: The loading tracks that should be right next to the station had been removed a long time ago; no sign of them apart from a manual switch several meters behind me.

Then realised it was too far to walk to the start of the long straight with me bike or to leave it at the station, so I came back in me ute.

Just up from home. Pretty sure this happened during last summer. We had about a dozen extreme heat wave days spread out over several weeks. For reasons unknown to me, based on the 30 kms of track I've walked on over the years, more than 50% of the individual lengths of track are welded together. Though you can see a break on the right track, it was the only one it had compared to a few the left one had along the same distance.

East bound start of the long straight; 10 min walk from home.

Drove back to the stock railyard a few mins up the road, then several minutes walk to the other end of the long straight, now facing west towards home.

    Me Ute:

    Bought 2014: 2002 Ford XR6: Inline 6cyl 4.1L Barra engine: Factory lowered 2": 5 speed manual: Factory 17" mags.
Looks good but Ford severely dropped build quality from 2002, thus me ute is a piece of crap compared to my previous 1996 EF sedan, though I still love it: From owning this, I'd never buy a new car under $40,000 as I suspect all manufacturers build crap base models. I suspect you have to go at least $100 thou to start getting quality.

Her name is Babe - from the movie of the same name as, "That'll do pig..that'll do", is the motto of me Ute. She's more than capable of all I ask of her, and I only need to do a few mods.

Soon after, a bloke in Hobart was selling a set of factory Ford FPV 18" for cheap as free. Was a good 3hr run down to Hobart in the drizzle, and they ended up being in pristine condition. No point going to 19 or 20" as tyre prices are through the roof. 18" tyres are still a reasonable price.

Saw some online pics of white cars with green mags, I drooled thus had to have this, and the 2nd reason for buying those 18s was my 17s just wouldn't look good green.

It's well known that the great Australian dream is to own your own house; another australian dream is to own a white car with a black bonnet. This V8 Bonnet with chunky bulge would set me back, new aftermarket, $600 unpainted; snagged this near new one off a bloke 4 hrs west for $150 + swap my white bonnet.

Current setup with standard 15" steel rims; green mags in storage while sorting out suspension issues that was prematurely wearing out tyres. Better to wear out a $100 tyre than a $200 one. Suspension issues sorted. Green mags will be reinstalled when I get full DBA brakes installed sometime next year.

    Nice grill.
EDIT: nice grill, and nice lines.
Me ute never came with a bottom grill, and the top one fell off a few weeks ago; cheap plastic crap.
Have been thinking about making my own.
Deciding on something similar to this (without the merc circle of course)
    Nice big chunky lines.

Is that a Hollyhock growing in the middle of the track there in the second photo? Or maybe a foxglove?

Just googles both...def not Foxglove, flowers look kinda Hollyhock, though base doesn't match.
Back then the council did weed spraying runs on the disused track, as they were undecided about either turning the track into a tourist run or to uproot all the tracks and turn it into a mtb trail..the latter won, and they already ripped up a few Ks of track past the village.

Point being, sadly, I never got to see it in full bloom. And since coming across that pic, the plant reminds me of the flowers in Annihilation (movie).
~chills all over~ Just as I'm writing this a track from Annihilation Soundtrack comes up on Winamp.

According to The Contessa, who recently had about 1500 potted flowering plants on numerous tables in the front yard, she's had to reduce to a few hundred due to age restricting her springtime rebuilding of them all...in our area and even 30 mins away towards Bridport Beach village, garden plants have found their way into the bush where they grow wild. When spring comes again, now I got a decent fone camera, imma take some wild flower pics, as I came across some small white ones on my recent traintrack walk to snag some pics for OurJud, was too tired on the day to go flower hunting.

Will ask her tomorrow if she can identify.

Looks like it as the yellow flowers (3rd pic on page) are identical to the one on the track.

I started trying to figure out how digital art works.

It’s a thousand times harder than I thought, but also way easier.

I took art classes all the way to end of high school. Still have no idea how to do folds & draping or any kind of shading & highlights.
