I’m not quite so elaborate in finding ideas. Ebay has a secret section related to the darkweb where ideas are a dime a dozen, but there is a minimum order quantity. Just don’t ask how the seller came to have them.

    I sold them to her.

One of the ideas was to pay a lot and sell cheap.

She paid me one euro per mid level idea and 10 euros per top ideas.

She had only one idea. It was to pay my with fake money.

    I don't know.

They were pieces of paper with text like

"137 Euros, The Central Bank of Great European Swindle".

But everything is alright. Nowadays I eat my ideas in the form of fresh ideagooseberries. And when I go to toilet, I... well... let's just say that output is kind of artistic.

Late at night the wind howls and screams at 1,000 ideas per second. We record it and play it back in slow motion to understand what it's saying.

If you give a small kid big pile of lego's you can sit and listen all his or her ideas while he/she plays and talks aloud.

I found a new way to get ideas. Things happening in my actual life, the problem with this method is that the genre is all wrong. Either I would have to start writing total slapstick, or I would need to go into medical horror. Both of those are not my style, my humor is much too dry for slapstick, and I'm not at all fond of horror.

However, maybe I could sell them to a writer who works in one or the other of those genres. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Our washing machine is Ideapool Fastplot 123 Creativity.

When I put some kind of laundry to it, I get back both that kind of ideas + clean textiles (or what ever stuff it was).

    Kids cloths: fairy tales, fables...
Working cloth: Stories about work & workplaces.
    Bed clothing & underware: erotica.
    Sport stuff: Sport stories.
    Hats: psychlogy.
    Propell hats: sociology, anthropology.
    Apples: Newtonian physics. (weird)
Quark: Einsteinian physics, quantum mechanics (even more weird)
    DVD'S: Screenwriting scripts.
    Music CD:s: poems....

It's bloody hard to find a mechanic specialised to this kind of laundry machines.

And you would not believe what lint filter looks - and sounds - like when I clean it.

I use only scentless and colourless detergents. I want my stories to be as organic as possible.

I just checked Oscar’s box again but only found crap instead good ideas.

I get ideas from watching birds eat and hummingbirds fighting over rights to the hummingbird feeder.

All old blues & jazz songs have hidden ideas in them. You just need to have a dirty mind to find them.

    I do!

(This is almost true. Sorry about that!)

I discovered that the bus to work is a portal to another dimension, once you enter it you swap places with the other you and once you leave it you swap places once again. That's why the air on the bus always smells different to the one in the real world. So record all ideas you hear on the bus, especially the phone conversations, as they are ideas from the parallel universe!

I take my camera + some carrots to a forest nearby.

Then I sit down, quiet, long.

When shy Plot Bunnies come, I give them small bites from the carrots. They eat those bites from my hand.

After that they show me some plot twists and idea by pooping to the snow or ground. I photograph those.

Later, at home I put those photographs to my RAW converter and seek everything that there is.

So... Pure nature + knowing local Plot Bunnies well is the answer.

There's this great shop in town that sells over a thousand tomes of pages that are stuck together. I think they're called books.

I read them religiously and then I plagiarize. I plagiarize them hard.

My ideas do not come to me. They come for me! I run from their relentless pursuit, hiding, denying. They always find me. Then, after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I surrender. They possess me, and stand like an angry teacher over my desk, as I bend to their will.

I have heard of such a thing as eBooks. Turns out, that's just Yorkshire for books.

    "Eee, books"

Now take your time, and, when you feel up to it, show me where the nasty idea touched you.

We have a good Local Idea Shop here.

It does not advertise. There is no sign, no lights. You just need to know the place.

And you must know what is the currency.

    It looks like this.

Some piano tuning experts are also idea tuning professionals.

If you let them tune your head, your idea productivity rises to the top.

I met one yesterday in an old church by a lake.

Most of the time my ideas don't show up until after I start writing, and I am usually surprised by them. It's a lesson I have to keep learning over and over. . . and over.
