Oh, I thought this was an issue with the browser I use on my phone (a beta of a chromium-based browser), but now that I test in Chrome I see that it happens there too.
I haven't noticed this myself (on Android Chrome now). What phase of loading does the site freeze at? Is it: White page for 10 seconds Header / page partially loaded but some stuff not showing up Just after everything shows up Later on after the page had loaded What are the symptoms when it's frozen? Page unable to scroll, page blank, nothing responsive, etc?
I can scroll for about half a second after the page has fully loaded, then the whole browser freezes for several seconds.
I have just confirmed that this doesn't only happen on our forum, but also on other XenForo-based forums. So either there is a bug with Chromium where a certain function (used by XF) doesn't work properly, or there is a bug in XF.
Yeah. Also could be a common plugin used by both forums, and/or could be doing something that's processor-intensive enough to freeze the page on a mobile device (which would be slower). JavaScript is rather single-threaded.
