I went out last night and got way too messed up. It's been over twelve hours later and my still heart feels like 3 hummingbirds stuffed in a balloon. Minus awesome points for stupidity.

Yes, actually. Dumb but fun. One of those stories people will tell at my funeral and everyone will wonder if they're making it up. That is if anybody tells it at all. Kind of awkward for some of those involved.

See a doctor (if you haven't already) if this doesn't clear up soon, eh? Meanwhile ...shit. Sorry. This kind of stasis isn't fun.

Have many of those during my adventures around the Pacific islands. My friends and I know the stories, but they simply aren't for anyone else. And if they were told, well, people would never see me the same.

I did. Double ear infection with fluid build up squeezing my head. Super fun and awesome.

Oh Aaargh. Ear infections. Hate them.

I used to get them a lot, until a paramedic gave me a tip that worked. She said the minute I could feel a blockage coming on (usually with the onset of a cold) that I should take decongestants. (Pseudophedrine is the best.) And that would prevent the buildup of fluid in the ear, which would later become infected. I thought that was kinda out-there advice, but it worked! I used to get chronic ear infections a lot back then; I haven't had a single one since. And that was about 35 years ago.

Yeah. Keep a supply on hand so you can hit on them as soon as the buildup starts. Once it's going full tilt, it's too late.

Oooh, ear infections! I had one that I didn't recognize as such about ten or so years ago, took months of doctor visits and my sinuses on that side still aren't quite right. Also my newfound tinnitus side.

Do whatever they tell you to, trust me.

Ah Tinnitus. I gained that fun from working on F-18s. Nothing like four years of daily jet noise to bring on that irritation.

Well, yeah... I was in Pohang, I think, loading stuff onto the C-130 when a flock of F-16s followed by a gaggle of Harriers started their northward migration. We were hundreds of yards away, but damn those things are loud.

And yes, we did cross the Pacific with propellers. Only the best for assets that no one properly owned :)

Don't know if I mentioned this last week but I still need to complain:

Sold my Queen-collection on Swedish Ebay for £125. Great, right? The buyer contacted me the next day. He had apparently won two similar auction and he wanted out. I tried telling him how that's not my problem and that if you bid and win... that's final.

I'm afraid I won't get enough bid a second time... and I had another bidder wanting out when she thought she was winning, so I'm already down to potential buyers. I hope I'll get at least £85 for it... :supercry:

Worst things was him saying "I'll pay if I really, really have to!!!" so I told him he had to. He had assumed I'd drop the deal because he came back refusing to pay it... and then dropped all contact with me.

that's ebay unfortunately - assuming we're talking vinyl you'd be better off finding a collectors record shop and getting them to buy them from you, or advertising on a collectors forum or similar

I use hot food to do something similar.

    Have some Habanero Chocolate...

    upload_2019-8-20_22-2-54.jpeg

...with something. But be careful in the beginning. (Don't touch your eyes after touching the juicy part of Haba Choco.)

All germs and viruses smaller than Donald Duck scream and run away.

I hate the fact that once I start scrolling through meme pages on Facebook, I can't stop, even when I tell myself I'm going to. It has robbed me of hours of sleep and productivity in the past, and today, I picked the wrong meme page and ended up spending about half an hour scrolling through hatred, anger, and toxicity, even though every meme made me furious and upset. I hate that kind of trapped feeling. This page is clearly not funny, but maybe there'll be some good memes on the next page...

Been there. It can take me hours to get off a site to go and watch a dvd, and by the time I eventually manage too, it's too late to watch it anyway.

I do this constantly. Granted, my work is all over the place, so I don't always have access to a microwave or refrigerator, but i still try sometimes and always forget.
