Very funny, you made me laugh a lot :D And your aunt's secret recipe for salsa looks like a huge mess, hahaha! And the dirty language of your elders resounded in my mind during the reading :D Instead the story of your family's reaction to mixing with other nationalities and religions is very tragicomic, I also perceive it as nostalgia and awareness that the bridge with the motherland was getting weaker every day :)
I'll read other posts, your blog seems very interesting and I didn't know those cookies :)

Hey, hope you're doing well over in Italy right now.

My local newspaper had the blurb that the deaths in Italy were over 800 in one day from this COVID-19 epidemic?!

It's unbelievable.....anyways, I saw the article, remembered commenting on your introduction in these forums and thought I'd check in.

Hopefully you're doing well and your family hasn't been infected with this COVID-19 virus.

I hope you're doing well, Cristina, and staying out of COVID-19's way. It's a shock, for sure, but I was reading about the terrible devastation that Italy endured during and after World War II, when the country was a battleground from north to south. Italians are a strong people who survived that calamity and will survive this one. I salute you all.

Welcome to the Jungle, kleines... Want some advice? Take the little cat.

I enjoyed very much the landscapes from Call me by your name. I'm also fond of Fellini and Sofia Loren. And who doesn't love Caravaggio???

Looking forward to see around your bella stampa...

    Have fun.
