It wasn't too terrible, just something that happens when
    you have long haired dogs.

    Depends on how you're wired.
School was part dull and part interesting for me. I was gung ho on subjects that interested me - metal and woodwork, tech drawing, art and math, but zero interest in other subjects ( ˜laughs˜ my dislike of English has come back to bite me in the ass as I now have to do a crash course in punctuation before I send my finished transcript out). Later learning I don't gel well with structured environments, or in situations that have strict rules or guidelines. I found out I'm an explorative creative thinker, thus school, for the emost part, is the opposite.

Generally speaking, obtaining an average grade and my mostly unpleasant school life had and has no affect on the quality of (my opinion and a few others) and enthusiasm for my writing. I write non-fiction, thus there has to be some type of structure, but there's also a lot of room for original creative thinking. I tend to enjoy the blend of the two.

The key for me to appreciate who I am and what I'm skilled or gifted at, or what fires up my heart, is founded on delving in and knowing myself. While it's true that it's important to fit in ( to a certain extent), to find your place in life, I found the most important is to find yourself, know who you are and how you function, then you can easily find something to apply yourself to.

EG: I always struggled to be sociable, then I found out I'm primarily introverted, thus I no longer had to beat myself up and lament over not wanting to socialize.

RE: writing - to be successful (in the sense of being an author), you have to find out what people wanna read, but you also have to find your unique voice. Sure folks want something they're familar with, but we humans also want to experience the new, thus a balanced approach is required.

"Know first who you are, and then adorn yourself accordingly." - Epictetus

Enjoying this rocking chair. Now all I need is a USA hat, a shotgun to my right and some dog resting to my left.

    God bless America, mother fucker.

Dunno what I'll eat for dinner, but I'm leaning toward some grilled chicken with veggies. In the mood for ribs though...eh.

I'm red/green colorblind. Not so bad that I can't see that ^^ young lady's skin tone, but in the rebooted Star Trek when Kirk's roomie catches him in bed with one of her kinswomen, the makeup artists did a shade that I didn't recognize as green.

TBH, I had to ask my wife if Maze in the series Lucifer had an unnatural skin tone. She is a demon, is almost always shot in low light, and it registered with my intellect that the character might be slightly greenish, although my eyes weren't sure. Turns out that's just what a combination of (according to Wikipedia) East Indian, German, Dutch, and Spanish looks like.

Another sleepless night went to waste. I woke up late again. I guess it's unavoidable. Things have got to get physical in order to surpass this issue. I'll be undusting, mopping, cleaning windows, gardening, might even be exercising. Push ups, pull ups, sit ups, whatever ups so I can get up in the mf morning, since mental work doesn't seem to cut it. At least it's been quite educational. I hope to keep my cleaning ocd in check. Where is the duster now? I might need a mask too.

Blimey it's already thursdee, will attempt injectors on weekend or next week.

Not sore after 1st decent exercise in a month but lower back slightly tweaked next day, so resting, Soodox and hot water bottle time. Looking forward to getting back into my usual productive lifestyle next week.
'Idiots guide to grammer' arrived yesterday so will be reading that and getting back on my book editing horse. Reading and fixing grammer and punctuation probs, giving myself a month. Looking forward to the experience. Still excited about ˜holds up thumb and index finger close together" being this close to potential deal with a publisher.

Got half the $ saved for new ute tyres, I got a month or so of tread left. The rainy 3hr return run to St. Helens for the double handled wood vice through 2 delicious windy mountains was super fun times but I noticed some aquaplaning due to low tread when it poured hard.

Organising myself to sell off most of my vid cards. Was fascinated to see my attitude towards my collection do a 180 after I bought the expensive GTX 970. I had to modify the install file as you can't run many new cards on XP, the drivers aren't supported, and it's useless to run high end cards as they often require 64bit and more than 2 gig of ram to activate their potential, but I just wanted to have one high end card.

However, once I got it fired up, of course it would remain the same power level of say a GTX 560, thus the seductive desire for a powerful late model card was shattered, including my obsessive and irrational collection goal. So looking forward to selling most of them (as I still require a few spares)...gonna do my usual of selling them off cheap so they sell and someone can enjoy a bargain.

And when my obsession ended, so to did all the availability of good cards on eBay. It will cost me some $ but I simply put that down to paying for the learning experience. Didn't suffer any permanent damage and learnt more about myself..that's a win in my book!

3 words shy of 1700 into chapter 3. So not a bad.
Also I think I am building a lesbian relationship
somewhere near the end of what I have so far.
Didn't see that coming, but I think it will work
out alright given the setting and culture. :p

Welp best get a start on the next bit of it. :)

Bloody good thing I remembered 'cus it's car license renewal tomorrow (saterdee), so shower and doll myself up for a photo today.
Think I'll don me all black suit (black suit, tie n shirt) and straighten me hair, brush me beard.
I usually go as scruffy as I usually am, but I feel like dressing up for an hour, and may as well hit the art gallery for a coffee and give the baristas something to think about.

Back still iffy so looks like next week for injectors; leaning into engine bay not a good thing to do with an iffy back.

I’m contemplating the best methods for writing or scripting a video essay.

I’m also internally berating my short attention span wherein my thoughts are going “You know how you sorta have most of a general outline for what you wanna discuss in relation to this one film? What about this OTHER film and it’s use of colour symbolism and motifs and you should watch that one and do research and get a general outline mostly in order for before jumping ship probably to this third film loitering inconspicuously in the wings. . . Because honestly, wouldn’t it be a shame to actually get any single project done when you can just have myriads of vague concepts in conflict for your time & attention?”

Mad Max is a classic Aussie movie, never saw the ISTK though I know of it.

The main prob this past month ws sore kidneys, not tweaked back. But after the 4hr mow it was a slightly tweaked back, thus rest is the best way to go.

Currently in the village, now stripped down to pants and rolled up shirt, no shoes, socks, tie or vest n jacket... 'cus blimey, summer hit today for the 1st time.
The girls @ the art gallery took some pics of me in full "suit up" mode so I can post some pics for y'all. Forgot to bring me Tom Baker Dr.Who Fedora.

Anyways, feeling super fine today. And will do injectors this weekend as I may be heading to Hobart for a couple of electric tools. Just waiting on a response from the sellers, and I can't drive to Hobart with a sick donk.

I have no idea how blokes don suits 5 days a week for work.
