Inspecting some random screws and bolts I found on the kitchen floor. Wondering what they are supposed to be attached too.
Currently waiting for the PSP shell I ordered. I'm excited to replace the unit's shell because the previous owner gave it to me with no batter cover, a swolen battery, and a wonky joystick. Good thing there's a charger. But it scares me because I might end up destroying the whole thing... Wish me luck.
Last three screws I found on the floor belonged to the cupboard under my aquarium - luckly they weren't essential as it's still standing for about 1yr without them
cover plates loosen and rattle their fasteners off as motors wear out of balance; coolers, d/w, cooling fans... Anything specific in the kitchen make alotta noise and suddenly stop being noisy?
I find it easiest to put on the underpants first, then the t-shirt. If you tuck it into the pants, it doesn't ride up. After that, I put on my socks, then the dress shirt. Button it almost to the top, then put on your suit trousers. Tighten the belt to a comfortable level, enough to keep the trousers up but not so tight that it creates a "muffin-top." As a somewhat girthier man, I tend to wear braces/suspenders when wearing a three-piece suit or odd vest. After that, flip up the collar, tie the necktie, but don't tighten it up yet. Flip the collar down, do up the top button, and tighten the necktie. Now it's time to put on the waistcoat if you're wearing one, and pull the tie up slightly to create a minor bend above the top button of the waistcoat. If you are wearing a two-piece, put on a tie clip. Finally, put on the suit coat. If it's an odd vest, you can leave it open to show off the vest, if not, the top buttons (but never the bottom one unless it's a single button coat [in which case it better be before 1989]) should be buttoned up. When seated, unbutton your coat, but button it up again when you stand. If it's a double-breasted suit, it should remain buttoned until it's time to remove the coat. Pocket squares are optional, but should coordinate with, not match your necktie. Shoes go on when leaving the house. You're welcome!
Also, if you're planning on going without the jacket for any amount of time invest in a set of shirt stays.
Depends on what you want to inflate I'm actually writing up the new plot line for my fantasy world. (corrected some typing mistakes - how I hate my phone...)
Any item from the Dapper of Tokyo range, very excited.. Although - serious a moment - working at the beach, about a month ago a mother came to me & requested I inflate her son’s crocodile - which I did. Lucky it wasn’t a giant unicorn, very popular this season.
Yeah, I can imagine... these unicorns were rather popular here too - even though I don't know anybody with a pool big enoug to use them and I haven't seen anybody using them on the lakes... xD Still they were sold out everywhere...
Those don't work at all for me. Have em on all my suits and my shirt keeps flying off willy-nilly. Agree. I often match the square to the tie clip or match the pattern to that of the shirt. Squares and squares, or dots and dots.
Trying to find a movie for tonight. Lost is off with the job so I'm having today and tomorrow to myself. Not sure I'll be able to sleep tonight! Also cursing myself for not getting that £5 lamp at Morrison today. I need a lamp so I can draw in the evenings... but I don't want to buy any lamp since I care about how the place we live looks... I think it's time to order stuff from IKEA!
Y’see...I was a ‘suited wanker’ for many years, and sartorially, and according to ‘rules’ I must protest in the strongest terms re: wearing a t-shirt under a shirt....and then a waistcoat over the top? No t-shirt, and never. Also, waistcoats , a little bit iffy, [see dickie-bow], the shirt is best combined with say a Pringle jersey, jacket, overcoat & your scarf [midwinter]. Enough now, always room for these transatlantic ‘irregularities.’
On the train home from work. Left my house at 8. 45 this morning, and it's now 8.15pm. Looking forward to some quiche and chips
Havin a saved sandwich for dinner - then I'll write a bit. Actualy write, not just translate. Granted, it's "only character discription" but it contains some scenic work ... I've had another long talk with my ex teacher befor work and I guess I begin to understand how I'm wired as a writer and a student both - and actually as a bit of a teacher mayself, as he assured me.
