I understand - but that’s not right. A forum such as this forum must continue to support the unpopular/strange/ugly and fringe voice. It is a fundamental principle of joy.
People on TV or in movies, good guys or bad guys, never carry a pump shotgun with a round in the chamber. They always have to work the action before being able to fire, for no known reason. For the drama, I guess.
When ‘chill out’ music is deemed the same thing as ‘relaxing’. I asked Alexa to play some relaxing music, she responded, “Okay. Playing music from Chill Out Pop on Spotify’ and the unit proceeded to throb with a deep base beat!
not to mention working the action one handed for no reason - that's asking for the shell to hang in the carrier and jam the gun
She has a reason. Her right arm was wounded earlier. Another scene from that franchise bothers me more. In the first "Terminator", Arnie-Terminator finds her in the "Tech Noir" club. He levels the gun (a 1911 with laser sight)... but then has to grip the slide (problematic due to his fat fingers and the laser sight that gets in the way) and chamber a round! He's a frickin' robot, almost undamaged at that point. There's no reason for him to carry the gun without a chambered round! Or to use a laser sight. If he kept a round in the chamber, he would have been able to shoot faster, and complete his mission! Yesyes, would have made the whole movie and the sequels obsolete, but that is and never was a valid excuse! Earlier, he kills the other Sarah Connor. Guess what? In THAT scene, he already has a round chambered when he pulls the gun! The same gun! Make up your mind! Then there's the scene with Reese. He saws down the shotgun, loads it, and pumps(!) it. Round in chamber. He falls asleep. Nightmare. Wakes up, and startled, pumps the gun again! Guess what? Why did I even watch that so often when it's so full of errors?
Public service announcements like 'Click it or ticket', or 'Buzzed driving is drunk driving'. Don't use my own money to threaten me, piss-ant bureaucrats.
Never understood running a pass play on 4th and 1, unless the point is to demonstrate a complete lack of confidence in your running game. If you can't gain one yard on the ground, punt the damned ball.
That I get the 'Sunday Jitters' every Sunday evening. Despite the fact that I've been working for three and a half years, I know my shit, everyone there likes me. It's like some part of my brain lives in an alternate reality where I'm the exact opposite of what I really am.
Yeah, but, no, but... toast is more complex than it sounds. The butter has to melt but not run, the bread has to be crisp but not crunchy, it has to be warm, it has to be... well it just has to be toast, and, come to think about it, only my granny got it absolutely right!
Where I live no one can cook an egg. Over easy, over medium, sunny-side-up, basted all come with scorched edges and overdone yolk.
Just realized I had missed my decade anniversary of being part of this forum. Dammit life! On the other hand, I am honored to have been part of this community for so long. :3
I don't trust people who don't speak to their animals... Also I hate people complaining about getting stuff. Owner came down with chocolate saying "happy Christmas" and people complained because it's a few weeks to Christmas. Eat the chocolate and be happy, it's December and we're being treated to something nice. Stop complaining.
