Have you read the series? I like the show so much I was thinking of testing the waters.

If a car is travelling on the road at 130 miles per hour going one direction, and another car is travelling 136 miles going the opposite direction on the same two-lane road, how many cops are they trailing?

    Depends.

Typically in the US, if cars are going speeds that make it incredibly dangerous for others on the road, tailing closely behind might encourage riskier behaviour & speeds that could put others at risk so often cops will follow at a reasonable pace well behind, while having a copter follow closely overhead, and try to set up blocks or divert the vehicle into a safer area where they can surround catch the culprits.

What country are we talking here?
Cause some might just for go chasing them
with police cars, and just send out a gunship
to take them out. Not all police forces are equal,
    ya know?

Also they would need a long stretch to be able to
push those speeds consistently so probably a
place outside of a city on a freeway, cause
while still in city, they would be able to cut them off.
If they have onstar, and the police have the plate number,
they can just make a call and have the car shut down
    remotely.

So it all hinges upon which police force is working to
    apprehend said offending speeders.

I wrote a story for November’s competition and then didn’t submit it. Don’t know what to do with it now.

Do you ever just delete things you wrote? Or do you keep everything?

That depends on what it is. Sometimes I do delete things, but
I like to be able to look at things that I thought were worth
saving. Never know if you have a good idea, but want to
explore it from a different angle, or adjust it to another
genre. Even if it is not my best work, it does get me thinking
of possibly reworking it, or that I am writing better than when
I had shelved a particular story.

Everyone gets what they want out of the unfinished and other
works that they keep around. :)

I honestly just realized how cool life is.

Like, everyone has their own lives, and every day you are in several people's lives. Your life overlaps with so many people at the same time.

When I walk by people now in school, I try to think of them and what they might be dealing with. This makes me forget about my own problems and I try to make their lives a little better by giving them a nice lil smile, or even some candy I have in my backpack (lol).

I don't know, this has helped me be so much more empathetic and aware of others.

    Wait, what?

I'm spoiler-wrapping this out of an excess of caution because it's pretty weird.

Argh. I watched this just before going to bed, and now I can't sleep thinking about the problems faced by the poor psychiatrist whose patient came up with this video. Somebody must be held to account! Think of the poor wires that had to carry these signals! Think of the satellites that bore the brunt of the transmission and reception of said signals! This is the kind of thing that causes fearsome mutations in usually benign species. Committees must be formed. Decisions must be made. Policy must be enacted. Hearings must be held and papers must be filed. Yes, filed!

It has become quite odd once I realized there has been no
real erotic content taking place in my story, despite the
nature of their locale. Suppose that might be due to it
being far to obvious to just make that a major point of the
themes and content involved with it. Though it does subvert
the expectation of the observer, expecting things to just
run that direction, and yet the MCs activities and interactions
have been fairly normal and retracted.
Unless paying for a massage counts, though that to is what is
on the tin with no extras entailed.
Mind you in 11,028 words that is covering roughly a 2.5 day
period from them losing their ship to a rogue Astro mech,
plus 24hrs in an emergency lifeboat, and getting stranded
on the orbital ring. So I suppose there is still plenty of time
for things to build in that direction as the story evolves. Oh yeah
I need to figure out about where the 'monster' in the horror bit
comes back into the story having evolved a bit more in terms of
how it works. IDK, I just hope I can glue the whole thing together
into a cohesive mess worth reading. :)

I found this very informative. In case you are writing a forensics themed story take a look at this:

It also has one that revolves around medical stuff. Turns out everyone uses the sponge stick incorrectly.
