    Makjang:

"With the k-drama makjang genre it's all about the audience and the stories THEY WANT to experience. Makjang is a melodrama on crack!!* When a reviewer mentions that a show is “makjang” that means the drama, either, has an outrageous premise or there are plot points that are hard to believe in real life."

"Makjang” can literally mean, “to take things too far” or “to reach a limit, regardless of the circumstances.” Frequently-used “Makjang” scenarios in K-dramas include, birth secrets, murder, adultery, cover-ups of illegal actions and nearly-impossible-to-happen-in-real-life happenings, endings and ridiculous twists.

I'm watching one right now, with an awkward smile stuck on my face. I feel like watching something extreme tonight. A lot of raving, dissing, yelling and people crying their hearts out with an open mouth stuffed with food. Yeah... A lot of that... In the meantime, the plot... :nosleep: Rip. The plot commited suicide a long time ago (10 minutes in). The screenwriters seem to be having a blast at least creating the bitchiest bitches of them all. In case someone rushes in my room unexpectedly, I'll just pretend I'm watching porn. :pop:

Aplomb: (noun) (real word) (ridiculous sounding), self-confidence or assurance, especially when in a demanding situation.

Ex: "The party was planned without our usual aplomb, it would appear."
"Ronnie reeled them off with such aplomb it almost didn't matter."

That's too funny! If you think about it too much, you start to itch.

    One-two-three!ing
I like it because of that exclamation point in the middle. I don't think I'm bold enough to use it though. It would need a story with a REALLY casual tone.

I learned the Welsh word for "minister" today.

    Weinidog.

No, seriously. The First Minister of Wales is the Prif Weinidog.

Not a word, but I learned the Chinese have an expression which translates as 'having an itchy ass' and it means having the urge to create something wholly unnecessary (such as a leather sheath for a Bic lighter). My ass itches a lot.

    Expanditure.

Made it up. Noun. As in, "Gosh, look at that gentleman's colossal expanditure... perhaps he should lay off the pies."

    Amphigory (plural amphigories)
A nonsense verse; a rigmarole, with apparent meaning, which on further attention proves to be meaningless.

What a coincidental event! I happen to be amphigorically phenomenous!

That's okay! You can still lead a normal life. Adult-size diapers are available in most drugstores these days, and the price is reasonable!

Possibly, but I'm pretty sure it's at least phrenologically consistent.

This deserves to be in the Useless Facts, but since it relates to the few posts above...

A good few long-distance train commuters in China have to travel to work over such long distances, and the trains are so packed, that they buy adult diapers and just do their business en route, ... right in front of you.

In the UK, they don't bother with diapers.
