I need a program that will allow me to dictate, so I can write while hooked up to a dialysis machine.

    Has anyone used this app?

I can't add anything about the software, but heartfelt wishes to you, your doctors, and your family.

I use Open Office and sometimes LibreOffice, both of which are free, and both allow dictation. I find them to be excellent word processors, though I haven't used any others to compare them with. Dictation can be a problem though, lots of things to go back and correct, usually by hand later. But if you're unable to type it can be a godsend. I should add, it took me a while to figure out how to set up my computer to take dictation-- as I recall I had to go into keyboard prefs of all things, and once I set it up many writing apps can now take dictation.

Ideally, it needs to be an Android app so I can use it on my tablet.

    do you gave gmail?
You can dictate to google docs. at my job, i get a lot of guests who cant really type for one reason or another, and I have to find them ways to "type". I always recommend google docs to them because, chances are, they have a google account and google docs is compatible with Android as well as iphone. There are no fees required with it and no pop-up ads.
It works just like sending a voice text... tap the microphone icon and talk away!
