That person in front of you in line at the ATM who engages the machine as though it were alien tech. Also, that other person in line in front of you at the ATM who - for the last 15 min - appears to be balancing the budget of a moderately-sized nation, all through this one ATM. Last one... When I go to the dispensary and another client is there acting like it's 1995. It's legal, dude. Stop acting like a dildo.
That person at the register who's shocked to learn that they're going to be expected to exchange some sort of currency for their goods. Did you think you were just waiting in line for the cashier to hand you a bag and wish you a nice day?
The expression ‘He/she isn’t getting any younger’ when referring to the elderly. Because of course we all know time is actually in reverse for anyone below retirement age.
Context-sensitive input in video games can be a pain in the neck sometimes. Tried to mount my horse in RDR2, but instead I grab some poor lady by the neck, and then get the hell kicked out of me by a half-dozen bystanders. Now I'm fleeing town with the law on my ass and a bounty on my head.
Along the same line... "Don't blame me if you got up late!" No one is blaming anyone, Ted. Culpability is not contextually in play, like, at all. Blame? Why blame? Oh... because we have this neurotic investment in the idea of who's at fault for things, so we like to co-opt the emotive impact of that idea and stretch it over to areas where it has no logical business. "I can't go to the gay club with you guys. I don't believe in that." Karen, the gay club is objectively real. It's there. You drive past it every day to go to work. You can touch the walls with your hands. Nothing about that place answers to whether or not you believe it's there or... Oh, wait... Just like that last one, this is yet another co-opt for the sake of emotive impact, this time concerning how precious we feel our personal beliefs are.
may be she thinks it's like a church I can't go to church with you karen because i don't believe in that, i'm a going to the gay bar instead... well i don't believe in your god either.. stamps foot
A stupid gossip article made me mad. Okay, I have to admit that I was googling to find something stupid indeed (I was searching to find information upon a weird freak accident death I had heard of in the past, so I was reading at first a top 10 of the stupidest ways people have died and then I scrolled down to read the next article), but it's not the apparent stupidity that made me mad. It's the underlying subcontext, the writer's personality that disgusted me, which is ironic since as the title indicates: "23 Simple Comments from Real People That Made Everyone Instantly Hate Them". Lol. "Real" people. Yeah, because people that post in reddit are bound to be real, aren't they? The rest of them are fake, so you'd better watch your ass. She knows, mhm... Her 23 simple comments indeed made me hate her, so at least I have to give her that. So, in this gossip article, she took reddit replies from the "underdogs" and spiced them up with her all-so-sympathetic criticism. What a fucking humanitarian! I'm not against the people that replied, at least not all of them, because from my POV, some stories where just not worth it, furthermore I know that when you are reading short replies of incidences from the internet, from just one party, things... come on! People do lie, don't they? I don't mean that they lied, but how do you know that they are not just exposing only the facts that they wish to expose in order to only victimise themselves, gain public acceptance, promote their virtuous personality, drown in likes and dopamine, etc, etc... How do I know that "Supperkitty45" isn't the bully in "permforev's" story? See what I mean? I hope so. Indeed, some incidences were far-fetched. Some others more tragic, but the writer didn't just sympathise with the "victim". I don't think she cared about this the least bit actually. I'll say my perceived aim of hers in this article further down. She went on to incriminate the "perpetrator" in the most horrendously shallow and uninspiring way a person can come up with. I mean, she's a writer, right? "Show me what you write to tell you who you are." (Modified greek expression to make a point. Original: "Show me your friends to tell you who you are"). From her point of view, a bully is but a psychopath that's bound to fail in every aspect in life. Actually, most of the "perpetrators" are monstrous beasts to have said what they did, they are psychopaths that lack a basic sense of empathy. Right? After a cliche angry giff, she goes on to give her expert advice after the roasting, apparently sympathising with the "victim", saying in a few words, "Good riddance. Nobody needs trash like these in their lives. Don't you even bother with them." Yeah... Why the bother? My verdict: The bitch is doing it for the likes. To become popular. To show off how PC she is. To show how trustworthy and "healthy" she is. Apparently she lives in a fucking bubble that has not relation whatsoever with reality and its struggles. She just sits relaxed on her high castle, aiming on the despair of others in order to create a mass pc hysteria, criticising people that I'm sure if she came across in reality, she would avoid, because they would scare the living hell out of her. She is the one lacking basic empathy and basic manners. Okay, the "perpetrators" are assholes. Sure thing. Who isn't? From time to time everyone has been a fucking "perpetrator" to someone, perhaps without even realising it. That's as far as I'd go roasting a person upon an incident if in all honesty I'd care to be true. Humans, you know? They carry a whole backstory that might be even more tragic than the asshole thing they spurted out. But yeah, since their incident was not shared in reddit and a snapshot of their asshole behaviour was caught in an article, let's play gods and advise people what they should do. The empathetic way of course... All I can hope is that people are not so braindead to have liked this article. When I say "like", I don't just mean pressed the "like button". I hope this doesn't becomes a trend. Maybe it already is though. Idk.
I've never disliked anyone in the public eye who I'll never meet more than I dislike Mel Robbins. Just something about that woman ...
Emoticons and emojis. I know, I know, they are a well-accepted form of shorthand communication, but they always strike me as too cute and juvenile. I'd rather see real words in their place. And if you're thinking of bombarding me with them in response to this post, please note that you will only prove my point.
or they caught the diseases were lucky enough to survive and developed an immunity... much like getting a vaccination.
There was a point in time when they tried to make them, sorta. https://www.historyofvaccines.org/timeline/all
That kid looks just like @OurJud I also love the Anti-Vaxxer conspiracy theorists who think the government does it as a form of population control to cull people. Point me to a government that wants LESS tax income.
Depending on the demographic they're trying to control, the money the government saves not having to supply services to these people could outweigh the potential tax income they'd get from them.
So, normally everyone works 2 weekends a month. If you work a Saturday, you have that Friday off. If you work a Sunday, you ONLY have Sunday off, but you get overtime pay. I am working every Sunday for the next 3 months (not by choice). I'm irritated because, why is my schedule like this? On the other hand, I'll be getting paid extra... YET, I'll get 1 day off out of the week...HOWEVER I'll get more money.... UGH!!!! Is extra money worth my sanity???? It annoys me....but I shouldn't be annoyed?
