I won't say the first thing that came to mind, because I'll sound too obscene.Natural tendencies... Here's the most innocent, second one: Sexy funeral catering!
Rice and potatoes in the same meal? Starch with starch? My mother would never let me do that. Meat and greens gotta be somewhere!
Tonight is Thai food. Dunno what to order, but it'll be something vegetarian. Ah, the unwilling vegetarian, c'est la vie. Maybe I'll get some curry.
I made a ... vegetarian on purpose... baked pasta. It had some TVP in it because I'm trying to do a pantry challenge and also I just ordered a shit ton online without realizing I already had some. I got some Oatly (oat milk --- shhhhh, I know it's not really milk), and it's... not bad? But it's not the amazing drink thing everyone makes it out to be. I've made better oat milk before... Anyway, the pasta had a tomato cream sauce (literally tomato paste in oat milk with a roux), and bowties for funsies. The TVP never got as crispy as I wanted it to, but that's what I get for thinking re-hydrated shit won't be soggy. Not soggy, just ... chewy. Topped it with some of my fake cheddar and baked it for fifteen minutes. My sister said it was good. So I call it a success, AND I have some leftovers.
Chicken baked in soy sauce. A completely vegetarian dish, with the exception of one ingredient. That counts, right?
Is that what it is? I thought it was an emetic. Come to think of it, the jury is still out on that, I think.
Ohhh I`ve had a sweets craving all day and just the thought of that makes me drool. I miss baking, sadly even doing a frozen dinner today the oven was making unsettling little electrical pops so I try to use it as little as I can. Could try and use the roaster but....if I`m being honest....i`m not ever sure where the roaster is. Should dig it out at some point.
Cod fish with chili powder and lemon juice and steamed brocoli, both in the pressure cooker, and raw carrot sticks. I didn't feel like doing any heavy-duty cooking tonight.
If these people don't like these cinnamon rolls tomorrow, I'm gonna eat them all by myself. I'm a goddess of baking. Bow to me! Mwahahahahahahahahahahahacoughcoughcough, shit. Choked on too much ego. But in all seriousness, I do hope they like them. I was meant to bring them around Christmas time, but I wrecked my car the night before I had to bring them, so... I hope they find them worth the wait.
Staying at the dear ol' mum's house in the Frozen North of England so I made soups - one carrot and lentil, one sprout with cheddar cheese to be precise (trying to use up some of the crap in her fridge) - bowled over by:- How disgusting sprout soup sounds How delicious it actually is! (carrot and lentil is pretty good too, more of a veggie broth with onion, thyme, potato, and kale in it - old veggies nearly gone, time for fresh!)
