Sometimes, it takes too long to scratch all those runes into my monitor. They're getting harder to see, anyway... something about 3000 tears? :D

That moment when you wonder why the heck anyone would think it was appropriate to celebrate Brexit with fireworks.

It was 11 PM. Some of us - on both sides of the debate - were trying to sleep.

that'll be the same reason they celebrate new years with fireworks, and weddings, and 100 other things ... lack of consideration for others

(point of note we're keeping all brexit discussion in the debate room... so if response to this could focus on the fireworks not the reason that'd be dandy)

TMW you walk into work and the supervisor informs you that you never filled out your holiday forms. My "What are you talking about?" reaction leads to her "All full-time employs have to."

No one told me I was full time.

How long have I been full time? The mangers in tomorrow I`ll have to talk to her. They`ve had me running full-time hours since I started more or less. Was the only part-time staff they had at one point then the only they could trust to not call off every day, then everybody new jumped ship again, and....why I`m I still there again?

TMW you're trying to just sit and read as you wait for your ride home after punching out for work and people have to come up and try to talk about the book. Which then leads to stuff about me being a writer and just no. A book should be the social equivalent of headphones. If you have them out you don`t want to be bothered. Also why on earth do these people pry so much into everything? That could be a first-world whining post all in itself.

TMW you finally resign yourself to the fact that you do actually need a new battery for your Dino top, as today it refuses to run either way.

    Followed by

TMW you find one on Amazon, but are stymied when asked for your password, because it is safely in your Dino tops currently inaccessible memory threshold.

that moment when you wake up late and get to work late resigned to take a half lunch to make up for your lateness.... only to find out you didnt have to be at work until 12 so that you could work closing.

also, that moment when you live too far away from work to go back home, so you decide to work a 12 hour shift....

ALSO, that moment when all you brought to survive on for the whole day was a pack of ramen noodles

That Moment When you find yourself writing your fantasy, making YouTube videos for your gaming channel, and writing book reviews in your Book Review blog.

Is this... Is this what happiness feels like?

TMW you have spaced out lectures so you decide to spend the whole day on campus, find 27 sources for your essay, then have a meltdown because you have to read 27 sources and you have no idea what's relevant and what isn't, and your tutor doesn't see students on Tuesdays, so you do some writing and eat food instead.

TMW a new book you've picked up has an amazing hook, but it falls flat 50 pages later.

That moment when you wander into your writing room in the morning and discover that last night you put your iPad in front of your computer.

You did it to remind yourself to do something, but what was it? If you remember could you let me know? Because I'm in the same situation as you are right now, staring blankly at an obsolete tablet and trying to remember why.

And that's why I still keep a notepad next to my computer.
Paper may suck when it comes to rock, paper, scissors, but hot diggity damn, it kicks a tablet's ass when it comes to writing forget-me-nots.

Just tilt it a little to the right. There! You don't mind holding that for... about eight hours?
