Leaving this here just in case we do end up in marshall law, as I know the man theme is the war on poverty and the war on having humanity but in the current climate, it does make one think of such an event.
I'll put my favorite translation of the lyrics in a spoiler. This show is seriously one of the best things I've ever seen. The song comes from seasons 1 and 2. Spoiler To ashes, to dust Taken away from the light But not just yet Miracles wait until the end Ocean of time Eternal law To ashes, to dust To ashes But not just yet To ashes, to dust Taken away from the light But not just yet Miracles wait until the end It is nothing but a dream The mere chasing of the wind Who could tell for sure? The clock on your wall It is full of sand Put your hand in mine And let us be eternal You make your own choice now And throw us 'tween bliss and agony But I can forgive you You are so close to death Yet your glance so clear See me I am ready And looking for immortality
Oh, fantastic. Did they actually do some work on a Star Wars movie? These guys are totally fun. They really 'get' the metal vibe, don't they? Scary fun.
I find myself wanting to punch the dancers. I'm struggling to understand why they make me so angry. I feel like this is what beatniks do when covid closes their coffee bar. They show up in music videos and pretend they're inspiring. Anyway, I'm trying to be a better person, and it's okay that they're there too.
I was getting ready to disagree with you on the dancers until they stopped orbiting with the sun and started horning in on the guitar player. But that was really a cool video. I wonder if it was actually all one shot? Didn't spot any terribly obvious transition points.
Οι φλόγες αγκάλιασαν τους ξύλινους τοίχους [The flames embraced the wooden walls] Σαν πεινασμένα φίδια [Like hungry snakes] Καταβροχθίζοντας στο πέρασμα τους [Devouring in their passage] Χειρόγραφα και υπολείμματα των παλαιών χρόνων [Manuscripts and leftovers of the old times] Η Περσέπολη κλαίει ενώ οι φλόγες απομακρύνουν τις σάρκες της. [Persepolis cries as the flames remove her flesh]
