There is already at least one DND group kicking about here but it`s closed atm and back in...december??...a group of us found that we also had an adventure shaped hole in our hearts down in the microblogging thread (you all know the one). So far we`ve got three people (Myself, Moon, and Love to Read) on board, and are considering a every other weekend schedule. May do it over Roll 20, or Google Hangouts. There are a few ways to do an online campaign. Not sure how the other groups our doing it. Moon found this video a while back and there are more resources on the channel. A big thing is we currently need a DM, as most of us our noobs in the DND world someone to run the game with some basic experience at least would probably be good. Though if we have to I`m sure one of us could learn as we go, hell might even make it even more interesting. If anyone would like to join us in the campaign or can help us start one up this is the thread for that. Any takers to charge into adventure sword in one hand and you're quill in the other? ....ok that`s all i`ve got.
Dunno anyone who'd be willing to DM a bunch of noobs like us. Still, it's a good idea. Hopefully it'll gain traction....eventually.
Ok so this petered off but it was not forgotten. Just little traction and March...was not a great mental health month for me frankly...or anyone I think. Which with everyone locked indoors now until the 30th (April) I saw this may be a good time to try this again. Critical Role may have given us a gift. If you look into doing this think it might be a great way to start if anyone still wants to. I started setting something up. Seems the free one is only a demo, but that may work for now. Give me a bit to figure out how to work dming this, but if anyone`s interested we can give it a go.
I would be interested in participating. I'm not sure how active I would be but this has been an interest of mine which I have never been able to indulge with live people due to communication issues - I'm deaf/hard of hearing so a verbal live group would be really difficult for me. An online text group sounds cool - that is what we're talking about, right? We each create a character (wizard, rogue, soldier, priest, etc) and group together to have an adventure which a dungeon master guides us along on? I think it will pay dividends and help our writing. I struggle with writing action scenes. Don't get me wrong, "I punched him in the nose and he went down like a sack of potatoes" is ok but it has been done before.
