o_O Body was never found?? Have we seen different versions of the same film?

Oh, wait. You're talking about the book, aren't you?

I haven't seen the film all the way through. I thought he wasn't found in the book, but it's been many years since I read it.

I'm not sure either now, come to think of it. The character is in the film up until the end... I think o_O

I'm so bored it hurts. Nothing I can think of that might relieve the boredom is appealing enough for me to want to do it. I don't want to write. I don't want to read. I don't want to watch TV. I don't want to play on the PS4. I don't want to make anything. I don't want to eat. I don't want to sleep.

I used to say no coffee after six. Now in these timeless times it doesn't matter. I'm having coffee near mid-night and I'm probably going to stay up most of the night and do what I wish to do. Probably read. East of Eden is changing me.

"Should I kill myself, or have a cup of coffee? But in the end one needs more courage to live than to kill himself."

It's untrue. All the rhetoric surrounding death is conceited. You all fear death. And suicide is much scarier than life. Only those who have looked in its direction can truly speak on its behalf. All else is nonsense. Beautiful nonsense, but nonsense nonetheless. Death is, and can only be, beautiful if it self sacrifice or well deserved. Otherwise it is all horror.

Do creatures that live in the water acknowledge wetness, or do they engage it as the default, unacknowledged state where only dryness is a thing to them?

Got to be the latter, right? How often do you acknowledge dryness? Then again, there are varying degrees of dry. Begs the question as to whether the sea dudes notice different wetness textures to the water. Maybe somedays they're like, "Damn, this shit is really wet today."

Or what if they prize the opposite of the default, the way we sell lotions to the tune of moisture and plump skin. What if they swim up to one another and are like, "Gurl, you look positively parched! What is your secret?"

I don't know. Is there an equivalent to humidity in water? Are there levels of dryness in a wet environment? Maybe extremely oxygenated water feels dryer the way humid air feels wetter. Does one fish say to another, "It's hot today." and the other replies, "Yeah, but it's a dry heat?" One would assume an animal that comes up for air would have a distinct sense of wet versus dry, but most fish, I have no idea. Damn it, this is going to be stuck in my brain for a week.
