If you died today, who would you want to continue your work? It could be anyone from someone famous/well known, a relative, or someone on here. Who do you think would do you and your work justice?
Honestly? Just let it die with me. Not because I don't think anyone could do it justice, but even if I did work with someone somewhat frequently on it, would they know the story well enough to tell it the same way I'd tell it? The obvious answer is no, but I can see why some would finish the work of someone passed on, especially in the middle of a series or something. But for me, just let it gather dust. Or turn it back into the earth with me, haha.
It's a tough one because if I pick someone really great then the book will be great but not because I had done it myself. On the other hand, someone terrible would make it look like I was terrible. I'd be dead, so I wouldn't care, but yeah, couldn't pick! @J.T. Woody who would you choose?
If I die today, everything (and everyone) on my world/worlds dies with me. Justice, what is even justice...
It is a challenge, lol. I dont have a favorite author, but I love the writing style and themes in Sharon Shinn and Juliet Marillier's work. Marillier write fantasy and Shinn writes both fantasy and science fiction (but I enjoy her science fiction more). I would want one of them to pick up my stories. I would want someone with a similar style, but then again, i wouldnt want it to blend in with their body of work and become THEIRS.
Whoever I choose would take one look at it and say, "What is this shit!? I can't do anything with this but start it again from scratch."
My cat Niovi. She would then become famous and rich, and in order to honor me for her success she would resurrect me by granting me one of her lives. We would keep this a secret in order not to freak out the rest of the world, until one day a persistent paparazzi would uncover this and then people would burn us at the stake... or cross us... or whatever, kill us for educational reasons. Then Stephen King would write our story based on true facts and would debate on a yt channel with J. Peterson upon the nature of truth upon those facts, depending of course what the author meant by the word "based", all the while a meteor which escaped the gravitational field of Jupiter is heading straight to earth and a goat taking a dump on the hillside takes it for a shooting star and makes a wish to escape getting butchered the next day. For the sake of this very goat, I forbid the continuation of any of my projects, 'cause quite frankly they'll be cursed... by me. After I'm gone they should be well hidden in a galaxy far far away, just like Necronomicon. You've been instructed. I need to explain this to Niovi now.
Chapter 1 by Earp G Novella I was born and raised in Alabama, in a farm down in the woods. I was so rugged folks used to call me Earpatches.. x
