Bad dialogue/script writing can make good actors look terrible because they don't connect with the lines. You can see it in their eyes and hear it in the delivery... their mouths are moving and the words are coming out, but the rest of the brain is thinking, "Am I really saying this shit?"

When I was swimming (even in a pool, but then it only worked at night time for some reason) I would pretend a shark was chasing me to motivate me to swim faster.

On another note, today during dinner my left index finger has suddenly started tingling and gone slightly numb. This hasn't stopped for 15 minuntes. I hope my finger doesn't fall off.

Look at his budget to box office ratios. Its almost a guarantee if you give him a million, you'll end up with two.

Because it's a scene from a Sharknado movie. The series isn't high on the scientific accuracy scale, although it's still doing better than the last Discovery Channel shows I watched.

I've got to admit that the way you phrased the question reminded me of Senior Drill Instructor GySgt Hartman:

WARNING: The spoiler-wrapped scene below concludes with a graphic (Hollywood) gunshot suicide. Don't click if that's a trigger for you:

Maybe this COVID shit is getting to me. I killed off Elliot Templeton again last week by re-reading The Razor's Edge, and tonight it was Bill Parrish in Meet Joe Black. No matter how many times I go through those fictional deaths I end up gutshot.

I was reflecting on the fact that what we do in life is quite meaningless because we forget all of it anyways when we're dead. But even though I'm depressed I'd still like to try and make the most of life as it is the only thing I have and the only thing I'll ever get, at least for now

    Recalculating...
Last night... oh, wait, it's considered early morning perhaps... Anyhow, today at 4 am made it obvious to me that I should cut down on social stuff for a while. Been feeling like a child following a butterfly in rainy weather. The child's soaked and the butterfly turned out to be a hologram... I need to find the border between pleasure and happiness and draw a distinct line indicating the transition into each territory respectively so I won't forget again. Have you ever felt like an abstract figment of your own concept? Yeah, just thinking about stuff like that.

The UK needs to get on board with the whole Thrift Store thing. We have pokey little 'charity shops' and just-as-pokey-but-twice-as-expensive antique shops. But you guys have acre-sized warehouses full of unwanted crap. I'd be in hog's heaven rummaging through that stuff to find the hidden gems.

Yes, but not on every high street like the thrift stores. When we want flea markets we have to actively source them via the internet or newspapers, and if we’re lucky enough to find any it inevitably means a very long car journey.
