What are you cooking tonight?

Yeah, I'm new to it, so I need the help. Rolled with the mat in long rolls, then cut them up. Worked pretty well. Dipped in soy sauce with wasabi mixed in, of course.

 

Another extremely Pennsvanilyan meal of pierogies and fish.

 

Big meal for a lot of people today. Spicy Indian fish head curry, steamed stripe bass, and pineapple Hawaiian chicken thighs, all over white rice.

 

You make some noodles you make some ground beef you chuck it together and bam dinner.

 

Something that started out as couscous tabbouleh and got a bit out of hand when I discovered things I was missing and extra things I had.

 

I am about to embark on a culinary journey of chia seed porridge, an orange, and a slice of buttered bread.

I live a simple, bougie life.

 

I was going to try a recipe from one of my favorite YouTube channels, but I forgot I told my mom I'd have dinner with her tonight, so I'm making veggie sausages, pasta salad, and a ... A salad salad.

 

Apparently when I was like 4 or 5 I used to call heads of lettuce "Salad Balls".

 

I cooked spaghetti bolognese with extra meat balls for the dog and piles of cheese. Then we both passed out in the bedroom

 

Beer-battered onion rings and a mint lamb shank.

Ha! If the meter was better that would sound quite poetic!

 

Probably fish sticks and choc chip ice cream.

 

..... together at the same time? I have questions.

With chocolate chip ice cream, yeah that would be kind of weird. But a nice fruity flavor such as huckleberry or a simple vanilla would have to taste good. I mean, people put peanuts on their ice cream. Sweet and savory.

 

Not as labor intensive as I thought it was going to be. Mincing the garlic and ginger took the longest.

This is delicious.

 

Made what I call my Greek salad: Chickpeas, cucumber, onions, Greek olives (black), and feta cheese, with an olive oil and lemon juice dressing with basil, oregano, etc. The onions started to do a number on my digestion, but I chased the salad with a small bowl of plain yogurt and took care of it.

 

Sounds good. I'm going with hot dogs (bratwursts really, but crappy ones that might as well be hot dogs) and the tabboulish that I made last week.

Tabboulish?

Yeah, not tabbouleh, but close. Couscous, black olives, cucumbers, green onions, capers, tomato, fresh parsley, lemon juice, olive oil, salt pepper a dash of habanero powder...

 

Potato? Cheese? Onion?

 

I'm eating fancy Middle Eastern-style tabouli right now as we speak ...couscous, chickpeas, red onion, cucumber, tomato, yellow peppers, black Greek-style olives, raisins, garlic, zatar spice, grated carrot, feta cheese, spearmint from the garden, olive oil, white wine vinegar, ground black pepper.

 

Wow. Sounds great!

 

So does yours. I should add capers to mine ...never thought of doing that. I love tabbouleh/tabouli.

 

I don`t remember anymore, but they were good.

 

Very English and very greedy lamb chops, new potatoes, spring greens + gravy/mint sauce.
