Some kind of flower or hat or jug or a hole in the universe or... ©Alan Aspie For all the mothers of this world. (We have a mothers day tomorrow here in Finland. I don't know if you do or don't over there somewhere, but no matter what, this is for the mothers of this world everywhere.)
A paper bag in Ireland? It would be mulch within a week with the rain we usually get. This particular bag carries a glass bottle filled with water for my travels.
Our mother's day was in March...I think. But I do know that flower, on account of it being in my (future) wedding bouquet.
Playing around with the macro and a very shallow DoF on my Fuji X100, and have to say for a 10 year old camera I'm very impressed. That said I think this camera retailed at around £1,200 when it released.
That’s pretty cool. It seems like photography is something you enjoy doing. Why not submit some of these to a couple of free sites. There really are a lot of those out there such as this one.
I have considered it, just my lazy nature means I've never bothered looking into how much they pay or the image quality required.
Spotted these amazing clouds when coming over a football field. Added the noir filter to accentuate the contrasts
Dang! Those instruments! I've got an unhealthy habit of collecting instruments. I sold the most useless ones last year but I just decided last week to get a banjo. Oh I need it so terribly that my soul quivers in unrest. To stay on topic here's one of the instruments I sold off:
Passed this guy on my way to the supermarket after work today. He’s painting this on the side of a sweet diner.
Scotland / Central. It was a rare sunny day. I took up photography a while ago so I'm still learning but the following picture spoke to me before taking, Spoiler: Pic1 The way the green grows at the start of spring after a harsh winter looks like it's preparing and renewing the tree for new life. Poignant to me because it was during the days of my father recovering from his heart attack. I somehow made the green shoots of renewal to be like that of his arteries during recovery. The scene just struck me. Also, Spoiler: Pic2 I mentioned her in my intro thread but couldn't find the file but here she's here.
I took some time today to customize my desktop environment, apps, and browser aesthetics to Gothic-style themes. There are spooky icons, even a Gothic-font for the terminal.
It doesn’t quite work that way. 1. You open a free account with them. 2. You submit some photos. 3. You make them publicly available 4. People use your photos This particular site provides “freely-usable images”. This means you would permit people to use you photos for free once they upload them. They wouldn’t pay you and you can upload anything you like.
