Forgot about Dredd! Liked that better than the original. He made an awesome Bones McCoy.

I just find the scale of difference between horseman and Russian hitman rather entertaining. :p

Don’t know if this expression is unique to the UK, but I’m always puzzled when someone in the street stops you and asks, “Scuse me, pal. Have you got the right time?”

Under what circumstances would you want the wrong time?

^ There's a thing in the US where people will ask "Could I get a Skwer?" It means they want a cigarette, but I have no idea where the term comes from or even what they're really saying, if it's like square only modified? Street slang...

Sometimes I have dull moments in my writing sessions so I'll look up former crushes on Facebook and I've noticed a trend. I think I have a type and I'm not sure if I appreciate that about myself. Tall, moderately built men with glasses, smiles that make you feel important. Eyes you could go swimming in. Electric personality. Unavailable for anyone unless they have the right size waist, which I don't but that's not something I worry about too much.

Star Wars is playing on my soundtrack station now. Kind of made me forget what I was talking about for a second.

Hope you're having a good time! Whenever you are.

I'd agree, but the profile photos of the men I've liked would like to speak up against me, hahaha

Ok, Urban Dictionary says it's actually Square, slang for a cigarette. It might be a local thing, or—you know what, it was back when ... there was a song "It's gettin' hot in here". And everybody at work would pronounce it Hur (because it sounded like Her). Another song too, "Up in here, up in here". They started having a blast with it, pronouncing anything they could that way. I remember a dude once saying "I can't hur cause I got somethin' in muh 'ur!" So Square became Skwer.

As for the square part, I think it refers to a square of rolling paper. I guess?

Sometimes I look up old crushes on Facebook and see that they seem to be leading desperately successful middle-class suburban lives with hordes of children and 2.2 dogs and a minivan and I think that we're both lucky that we got away.

I finished the anime Darling in the FRANXX and I don't know whether to post in the Happy or Unhappy thread.

I'm sad that it's over, but I'm happy with how it ended.

"She raised on eyebrow and farted quizzically at him."

I have no idea where that came from, it just popped into my head, but damned if I don't need to find a place to use it. Short story prompt maybe :supertongue::supertongue::supertongue:

People say square here, but it's almost exclusively hipster millennials, most of whom vape now, if they're still on nicotine. It was a much bigger term ten years ago.

My wife does that all the time. Maybe not "quizzically." Her farts are pretty determined.
