Holy donkey balls... we drank a lot of booze during the lockdown! Restaurant is missing at least $1000 worth of shit. I had staff coming in periodically throughout to help with cleaning and organizing this and that. And since we've been open for three weeks I've essentially left the bar open. And, yup... I work with a bunch of fucking drunks!

(my drinks are at least written into my agreement)

Right now I'm thinking about all the ambitious people on youtube (Wintergatan, a Fox in Space) and about how much I should be writing right now.

They have a calendar of goats in trees. It must be pretty cool to turn the page over each month and see a new photograph of goats in trees.

I feel your pain. I too have no desire to write, though I have ideas, and I know that when I start again I will get engrossed in it and even, maybe, turn out something of decent, quality. But I find myself wondering why bother? I even went to the point of setting up my blog site, with the aim of getting things moving and giving myself motivation. Instead, it became a drag and I found myself feeling bound to create daily stuff for posting -- and, even though part of my reason for setting up the blog was in fact to give myself daily motivation, I abandoned the blog (at least for now). The only writing I do regularly right now is on the forum.

Instead I listen to books on audible in the evening (and fall asleep, making for some disjointed stories), bicycle, and work with wood on random projects. The latter is the most engrossing and rewarding activity even if I am a better writer than carpenter.

I expect and hope I will get back to writing soon.

There's a fantastic chainsaw carving around here in someone's yard of a rabbit rearing up on its hind legs, I suppose howling at the moon or maybe preparing to smite an enemy. It's probably 7 feet tall and it is really a noble sight.

I had a wisdom tooth removed. I don't know what all the fuzz is about or why full anesthesia is the norm in NA. I just got a local injection and it it was out literally 20 seconds after he started working on it. Probably big pharma pushing unnecessarily expensive drugs or something.

Not everyone's wisdom teeth are so conveniently removed.

I understand that. But the local injection numbs the entire site, so I don't see why full anesthesia is necessary.

    Home Depot.

What I'm asking is what makes North Americans so different that full anesthesia is often used, whereas where I live full anesthesia is hardly ever used outside of severe issues. Do they also opt for local anesthetics in NA most if the time?
