During last night's softball game, I finally noticed there wasn't anyone taking admission. There was a pail on a chair near the main bleacher section.

I talked to a baseball mom this morning and she said none of the schools are charging admission for these abbreviated seasons. Everyone is basically going the donation route.

    Thought that was interesting.

Playing a lot of Minecraft and I've made some caverns into lovely walking areas with torch lit pools and stairs leading to mysteries. It's a kind of productivity, I guess?

Well, I didn't win the euro millions, but its a roll over again. At least I got a packet of Haribo and bought my dad a house on monopoly.

I started that world on peaceful and built a sandstone castle, and then my goal of connecting things I'd built with a rail became dangerous because my towers were all floating except for the sandcastle. I switched it to creative mode when I kept falling off of the roof for the rail tunnel. I was crouching but I had to stand to get more materials, and I'd twitch and just plummet.

Been playing The Last of Us Part II. I think I agree with Troy Baker (the actor for Joel) when he said you need to approach this with an open mind.

I LOVE Minecraft! I started playing when he was ten(?). We built the caverns of Moria and city of Gondor. He made a Transformer with flaming pig launcher! We built an amusement park with rollercoaster and a giant keg. We had above and below ground railroads. All on MCPE. I am keyboard disabled, so tablet all the way baby! :D

Creative is too boring for me because I love the thrill of danger and risk (which is exactly why I play Minecraft ) but I always fall victim to my own hubris. Mostly I perish in the mines or forget to write down the coordinates of my compound. I've gone through so many survival worlds I can't even keep track of them all.

I like creative mode only for when I'm building something gargantuan because I can clear things quickly and not have to worry about being creeped in the night.

NASCAR is labeled as a redneck sport but the championship hasn't been won by a southerner since Clinton was in office.

Rednecks are not exclusively a southern thing. Not by a long shot.

Okay, but I was commenting on your implied assertion that all rednecks are from the south. They're not. They're from all over.

This is true. Redneckery knows no boundaries. Wherever people love mullets, Lynrd Skynrd, American flags, pro wrestling and tractor pulls and shotgun cheap beer you'll find it. And while they don't all live in the south, curiously they do all seem to have the southern accent or some variation of it.

Other signs are inordinate pride in their own flatulence and belches plus spitting for distance. And then there are the men...

Northern Idaho is a bastion of redneckery. Then there's the mountain man/pioneer/survivalist contingent which is different but still sort of the same.
