Cyclops. And also, they'd be born without a nose and/or mouth. Pretty cool stuff if you're George R.R. Martin.
The average brain weighs about 1400g outside of the body, and only has a net weight of 50g when buoyed up by your cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). This is due to Archimedes Principle, which states that the force exerted upwards on a submerged object is equal to the amount of water that was displaced by the object. This is important as, without the CSF significantly buoying up the brain, the brain wouldn't float in the cranium, and would compress your cerebral arteries and kill you.
Very true. And if you look at maps of the distributions of sickle cell and malaria you'll find that they are basically the same.
I was in boot camp during my high school graduation. The music I was listening to daily sounded something like this:
In the age before the establishment of the modern police detective position, journalists often worked criminal cases as clue-seeking investigators, and often journalists and the police worked together, with the police feeding journalists sensitive information and vice versa. Same as historically sheriffs and constables before police relied significantly on accusers and local notables to back them, given them info and join them on investigations or round-ups.
Members of this forum with several thousands of messages or more have probably written a novel length bit of text here.
I have just looked at the Sent items for MS Outlook... over 10,000 messages sent since 2015. Even if they are only a hundred words apiece (and I am usually far more vociferous) that's over a million words...
Are you thinking of MSG? An old ingredient extremely high in sodium that I see in my mom's cookbooks from the 50's and 60's.
If you assemble all my posts together you'll find I've actually written a novel. However it's out of order (all the words) and needs to be re-arranged considerably before revealing itself in any sensible way. I patiently await for someone to solve the riddle.
