Today is the day I clean and restore my internal balance.

I hope everyone has a good day! And if you're not having one so far, I hope it gets better.

I begin a new course today. Just finished up British Literature I yesterday, which was a struggle, but I'm through and done with it now, though I'm pretty sure it will be an A- and bring my GPA down slightly. Oh well, Summa Cum Laude was an impossibility anyways, so Magna Cum Laude will suffice. Still, there was a number of works in there that I enjoy more on the second read, and some first timers I was excited for that turned out as duds to my liking. All in the adventure of studying literature. Only a few works I hadn't read before that caught my attention as much.

I begin a Gender and Literature course today. It's a discussion heavy course with a lot of reading and theory, and ample room for debate. I'm a bit of an outlier here, being a straight and white male, but I think I'm up to the challenge of contributing to the conversation as I'm usually not rigid in perspective. I understand it's going to be a difficult course for me, but I'm actually fairly excited for it. I guess I don't really have an opinion on what to expect. I don't know if I'm nervous about it, but I do think it will be good in challenging my perspectives and looking at writing through different eyes. We shall see how it goes.

I don't know if some of the Scottish nobles or kings available are strictly Pictish or not. But you can be any number of Scotsmen. I think Scotland is pretty fun to play, depending on your start year. Raise an army and sweep out of the north with your Caledonian horde.

Drinking a reward bourbon after spending 8 hours working in my new yard. Weeded and destroyed all preexisting garden beds. Distributed 25 bags of black bark mulch over the remnants. Edged and shored up the bricks around everything (those were already there, thank God). Tinkered with my in-ground irrigation system, which allegedly works, but has been disconnected for a few years (and hopefully bled properly before winter) and looks like it might need a new pipe assembly and maybe a new butterfly valve. Realigned the railroad ties around the raised bed, which actually had two strawberry plants buried beneath the weeds. They look like albino testicles at the moment... no rain for over a month.

Fired up the new weed whacker, added the heavy duty, serrated blade extension, and murdered everything around the side and back of the garage. I was going to plant my tomatoes there next year, but discovered the entire area was gravel. Hmmm... maybe just add some more gravel? Haven't decided yet. We're doing some renovations and probably won't be moving for in for another 4-6 weeks. We're stuck paying rent on our apartment for another two months anyway, so all that crap will have to until next spring.

So, yeah, I'm tired and my back hurts like hell. Bourbon, blunt, pizza, and probably sleep.

No. I can barely move this morning. And I have to go inventory the restaurant. Might need another blunt.

Tidying up and cleaning inside and around the house. Two weeks ago, I send my folks (mom, sister and second dog Bilbo) on our annual vacation. Henry (first dog) and me stayed home (for various reasons). Now ambition spurs me on. I just scrubbed the shower with a new toy (an electric cleaning brush) and now I will (finally) mow the lawn. My lawn mower apparently had a kind of wonder healing while standing in the garage (don’t ask :().

I crashed out earlier at around 5pm and woke up at 8, no idea what that was all about. So now I guess I better get writing seeing that I'm going to be up all night.

the 2018 Predator movie on it's my first time watching it. Looks and feels like a fan made movie rather than an actual predator flick. Got a couple of good lines it but the action is goofy AF. Olivia Munn is making it worth while though. Very worth while.

Oh and it's good to see Thomas Jane again.

Trying to come up with an action plan for Mistoffelees. He needs to see a vet, and I have about 100+ questions, as I've never owned been owned by a cat before. :)

Listening to loud music, and waiting to sort out
what in the F the creepy whistling was coming
from about 10 minutes ago. It had to have come
from outside, since I have the window open, but
WTF?!. Gonna have a late night tonight...
Freaking on high alert right now.

Gotta bat and a knife, makes it more likely to get answers. :p
Took a short walk about the area and didn't see any foot prints,
so I have no idea what/who was whistling, which doesn't make
me feel any better about the whole sitch.

Trying to decide how to best go about making dinner because I'm tired, but I'm hungry, and I'm not sure how much effort I'm willing to put forth. Boxed mac it is.

Same as a donkey, right? Or close to it?

(Me thinks I will soon be sprayed with an educational firehose of the many differences between mules and donkeys)

Ill just trickle the water a bit.... Mule is a cross between a donkey and a horse.
(Honestly all i know... That, and mules cant breed with other mules)

From the videos... Donkeys seem pretty one note. "Hee-haw" sometimes a big "Heee" and a little "haw" or a little "hee" and a super big "HAW".

mules..... They are like huskies. Are they barking? Howling? Learning our language? A whole lot of noise and confusion:confuzled:
