At the high school garden. There have been teachers coming in this week preparing for the new year, but I am all by myself tonight and it's wonderful.
Still reeling over how inconsiderate people are about a mask... Its one thing to read about it. Its another thing entirely to be on the receiving end of it...
I see so many people technically 'wearing' a mask but with it pulled down under their mouth or sometimes just under their nose. And I mean when they're in the checkout lane, talking directly to a cashier.
This person didnt have on a mask at all. I simply asked her if she had a mask (like, its a public space... We are REQUIRED to ask... We are trained to ask. If you are the ONLY person in the building without a mask, expect to be approached by different staff members at different times asking the same question) Aparently she was already approached by someone on another floor. Idk. I asked what i was supposed to ask. She flips out on me. I got the full story later that this person was ONLY supposed to get something and leave. She stayed for AN HOUR wandering the building.... Just to cause trouble.
Overgrown babies. Who cares about anybody else, as long as they get THEIR way. And always ready to throw a massive temper tantrum. Yep, I see it a lot. It must be what got them what they wanted as kids, so it stuck as a strategy.
You've just described a certain boss of mine. Although amusingly, I've noticed a correlation between said person's tantrums and the type of shoe they wear. Said person always blows a gasket whenever they have a pair of goofy multicoloured doc martin boots on which just ends up making them look like an angry little entitled clown, this amuses me no end but I don't have the heart to tell them because their ego is sooooo sensitive.
There was this one time said person walked into the cafe' ( which is run by a different company ) and kicked up holy hell because they had to wait in a queue of 2 people like everyone else and shouted '' BUT I'M THE DIRECTOR '' in a really whiny sulky tone that was trying to be assertive. I think they were bullied at school to be honest and just can't wear the jacket of authority without being a bully. I had to exit the cafe holding my laugh in when one of the old punters at the back shouted '' Aye, Director, no Dictator get in line and shut up ''
That's one of the few perks of being on staff here, we've got our own pizza shack where we don't have to wait in line behind you plebes regular members
And then the Left Boot said "he/she's not angry enough" "We must do something" the Right Boot replied, "for we are growing weak and must feed on rage!" The Left Boot then uses what little energy it can muster and gives its poor unsuspecting wearer a toe cramp. "GOD FUGGIN DAMNIT!" cried the wearer. "Yes, yes" said the Right Boot. "Now turn your rage on those mortals there. Let them all suffer!" TBC.....
Prior Attire on YouTube does amazing work. She makes all of the pieces by hand (unless it's something she's got to make quickly) and they're simply stunning. My stupid ass thought y'all really had a pizza place for a smidge of a minute. I am currently watching one of the best movies of all time: A Knight's Tale. Heath Ledger = Oh MY GOD I FORGOT PAUL BETTANY'S ASS IS ON FULL DISPLAY IN THIS AND I ALSO FORGOT HE PLAYS GEOFFREY CHAUCER AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
Curled up on the sofa with the cats while the wind blows outside and the machines in the kitchen doing their thing. I'm about to knock out some writing. I seen a headline today that Aberdeen has went back into lockdown because everyone went out at the weekend and now there are huge spikes in Rona cases. There's no easy way out of this.
The only trouble is some of the offerings - spam pizza is not for the faint hearted, nor is the 'circular argument' a bizarrre dish that goes on and on getting increasingly bitter and hard to swallow as you approach its centre. Then there's the strange customer who rocks up every night demanding a curry, and it unable to accept that it's a pizza place so it serves pizzas
About to be late to work because I decided to write this morning instead of doing other things. OH WELL! it's Friday and I'm getting my tattoo finished tomorrow. I don't really care if I'm late today. I do, but I don't.
Just finished binge watching an entire anime series from like 2 years ago. I got work in a few hours.... I want to cry because it wasnt renewed for a second season. Damnit! Now i gotta read the manga to find out what happens next!!!!
Gotta hoover and dust the house today. Just gotta. This Covid-19 lack of visitors has made me lazy. I didn't realise how much I depend on impending visits from friends to motivate me to do frequent housecleaning. Aaargh.... At least I've kept it tidy, so it shouldn't be any big deal. I'll go start now. Well, in a minute....
Call me a freak but house keeping is like a form of meditation to me. My day just doesn't feel right until I've given the place a once over.
I wish. I do like a clean house—it's just that I'm not a creature of routine. I've always said that people who KEEP a clean house don't experience that cathartic feeling you get when the house has gone from chaos to spotless. You feel like you're in a new home! (That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. ) I'm better about cleaning than I used to be when I was young—when just about ANYTHING took precedence. Now my goal is 15 minutes. Give me 15 minutes' warning, and the entire public space in the house (living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom ...and connecting hallways) are spotless and ready to impress the visitors. Today, I think it will probably take about an hour! Especially if I decide to wipe down all the kitchen surfaces, which hasn't been done in a while. That's an hour of my life I won't get back, but it will be worth it. And I've got to bake bread today as well, as we're fresh out. But the sun is shining, and I'm motivated. Who knows? I might even get to the bedrooms as well.
Same here, I’d only wished it wouldn’t be so hot (the temperature is merrily crawling towards the 30 C° mark again ). Regarding housekeeping I think I’m somewhere in between. I enjoy doing it while I’m at it and it’s always satisfying that you can see the effects of your efforts immediately, but I’m miles away from a daily routine. Anyway, Happy cleaning to everyone !
I got the living room and the dining room done ...dusted, hoovered, sorted. Now I'm waiting for my husband to get out of his bed so I can do the rest of the house without disturbing him. He likes access to the kitchen as soon as he gets up, as he makes a rather elaborate breakfast, and sits and reads a book there for a while as well. So it's likely to be HOURS before I get back to it. Sigh. I'm a morning person, and he's not. Yep. Got finished, eventually. Except for the bread baking. Decided to wait till tomorrow, because it's quite a warm day here. Don't really need the oven on at the moment. But cleaning done. Big smile.
