I have novels mostly, as well as works on history and certain other topics. I would say that whatever nonfiction I have is primarily history, in addition to a few works on linguistics. Also a number of books on music, mostly focused on guitar.

What are the books on linguistics? That's one of the areas that has recently caught my flitting interest.

Describing Morphosyntax, The World's Major Languages, An Introduction to Indo-European Languages, Historical Linguistics, and An Introduction to Historical Linguistics. I also have some books on Old English that sit reproachfully on their shelves.

A selection of Hello Kitty-themed gel stickers designed to be worn on one's protective mask.

I've applied a basic bow already. It's subtle, but I think it adds a certain flair.

Easy Rider Blu-ray. I do in fact want to own this film, but in reality I only ordered it because I've had to change my email and wanted to check I'd linked my phone up properly. Asking a family member to send me an email would have saved me £8 but I wanted the film anyway.

A set of four bottleneck guitar slides - pack also comes with picks, pick holder, finger/thumb ring pick things.

I've taken a chance on the slides size - two at 21mm and two at 22mm. They'll be going on my fourth finger so I'll just have to hope they fit.

Decided my computer really need a memory upgrade, so I bought CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800). Maxing out the motherboard without overclocking.

...and a new keyboard.Don't care much about the Popsicle back-lighting, but it looks alright.

Should be good for gaming and whatnot for a little while anyways. Whenever I find the time.Probably won't be me using it a ton, but oh well, fun toys.

Ah Hell, I bought a graphics card as well. It's fun rebuilding this old desktop. Bought the Asus TUF Gaming GeForce GTX 1660 Super Overclocked 6GB Edition HDMI DP DVI gaming graphics card. Not the best out there of course, but good for a modern budget gaming rebuild. I'm done buying any more parts for a bit...

I was at a friend's place and he had just bought and set up a keyboard with backlighting, not sure what trademark and let me tell you: after some beers and a joint, the main attraction was not Assassin's Creed, nor his big ass tv anymore. I don't know how much time we spent just playing with the damn keyboard! It had all kind of fun settings to experiment with and for some reason we've gotten over-excited. Our fingers were dancers stepping on a funky platform where every step produced a colorful, rippling effect. So much fun! :D Then the pizzas came and we ate them and he threw up.

I buy a $1000-1200 desktop every five years. Been doing that since about 1996. A thousand bucks is two clicks (six months and fifteen hundred bucks) behind the bleeding edge and will hold up for about five years...

Old phone out, new phone in and it rocks! :D
I got the Xiaomi redmi note 8 pro and I feel as I've time-traveled in the future. It feels like I've been traveling by carriage this whole time and upgraded to a ferrari. Boy, it's fast and I mean fast. As for the cam: Oh, what a cam, what a cam, what a cam, what a mighty good cam.

The Godfather trilogy. It's very likely to be a series of films I never get round to watching - let's face it I've not done so far - but everyone makes such a big deal about them I felt I needed to own them.

I can't recall to have seen any of those movies. If I have, it did not leave a very lasting impression...

It's unlikely I will ever find myself in the mood to finally watch them. I know the basic story, and I figure that it generated a chock full of tropes that by now have been soaked into general storytelling that I'm most likely be underwhelmed by it.

What I hear more than anything about these films, is that part 2 is the real 'masterpiece' of the three.

My Fitbit Charge 3 will no longer charge, a few months after warranty expired. I've done all the stuff about cleaning contacts, yada yada, and their customer service is useless. So I found an interesting Garmin watch on special at Amazon and am awaiting delivery. In the meantime I have to get used to not having a lot of useless information on my wrist.

Funny how addictive this stuff is, and how essentially unnecessary it is. But still I want one.

In my olden days I used an old pocket watch that had belonged to my grandfather. Before that I essentially estimated the time and I was pretty good. Now I crave my smartwatch. Not sure if that's a good thing.
