Hello, I'm a beginner writer who has a dream of writing my first book! I'm very new to this, and I'm bad at creating stories (but I have a lot of ideas which I want to bring to the world!). I would be very grateful if someone will advise me a good book on writing. What I want is to consume as much information as I can to learn every aspect of writing, story structure, character development, etc. Thanks in advance!

In each story type, it uses a famous novel (such as Harry Potter and Girl on the Train) and breaks the bestselling novel down into the 15 beats from the beat sheet the book provides you, so you can see how it works. I'm not for following anything religiously - all guidance is just guidance and you can always break the mould. So don't take anything as a fast and strict rule. But I'm of the opinion that you should break the rules deliberately - they should be informed decisions for your story, not mishaps. Hopefully the book will be useful for you! The most important thing though: write and edit. Write and edit. You need to write to have something to edit, and you need to edit to get good at it. So just make the decision to write every day - and no you won't end up doing it every day likely - but it's good to have made that commitment anyway to make sure you write regularly.
I would suggest Ron Carlson Writes a Story. He takes you through the process as he's writing the story. At the very least, itshows you what his method is to making it through block periods and getting a publishable short work done in basically a day.
Maybe this is just me, but I find it better to just read good books and learn through osmosis. The real skill of writing is unconscious, a sort of "muscle memory", if you will. Understanding the flow of a story by absorbing it yourself will help you understand writing advice better. My suggestions are Robert Heinlein for writing style, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn for characters, and Watership Down for plot. Or just go for any writer that you like and wish to write in the same style as. That being said, don't get caught up in reading to the point where you don't write. The best way to learn to write is to write.
Its good to read and you need to in order to be a more well rounded writer but you learn more from writing than you do from reading. Just wanted to remind you not to get bogged down with theory and to actually write something .
I do write to practice But I need to learn how story structure, how to create good characters, etc. All of my previous stories are boring and bad. My characters are forgettable.
