TMW a high speed car chase blows past your front porch. Followed by TMW a bunch of cops start combing your front yard with flashlights, "looking for something," they said. Do i get to keep it in a find it? Murder weapon in my hedgerow?

TMW when you are tired after a long day and see a silly tweet which puts a much needed smile on your face.

TMW you realise you REALLY need an Allen (hex) key, and you threw them all out once you'd finished building all your flatpack furniture.

TMW you reread a scene you have written and discover that one of the MCs who is actually still held prisoner by the villain is sitting peacefully in the kitchen with the other MCs, sipping some tea (and no, it wasn't the first reread) :superlaugh:.

TMW when the freaking Hamilton musical finally unlocks a hang-up I've had about a story I treasured since 2008.

There's a moment in the life-cycle of every pair of wire-rimmed glasses when they take a bump, a stray shoulder or pillow or what have you, and you know that no matter what the folks at the shop do, they'll never fit right again and they'll always be that much weaker and more likely to get knocked out of whack again.

    That moment was last Thursday.

That moment when you think you're through writing the hardest scenes of the current chapter, then check your notes and realise you've got one more to go.

(I got another one for ya :superwink:)

Tmw a couple walks in.... A man carrying an empty (i hope) rifle case with a medium dog wearing a massive military vest ladened down with various odds and ends (poor thing struggled up the stairs!), And his companion who had a banjo slung across her back and a dirt bike tire looped over her shoulder

    :superthink:
The dog wasnt an issue (once u say "service dog" we dont question further). The tire and the rifle case were kiiiiiiiiinda strange

When people start wearing tires as fashion accessories, Mad Max is just around the corner.

TMW 5k isn't enough to do your story any kind of justice, but at
least you will be able add on to it at a later time. :)

5k is a short short in my world, and in some it counts as an entire
book. Either that or I just have some complicated and intricate
ideas that need more than a newspaper g-string in the rain to work
    with. :p

... you start wearing your new watch (as a life-long non watch wearer) and keep checking the time far more often than is necessary because... well it’s a new watch and you want your money’s worth.

Or worse. It's the soundtrack at the dentist's office.

Mind you, I'm still waiting for them to play the Woodstock album's Country Joe and the Fish's offering....

Ach, you'll get blasé about it, after a while. Kinda like a kid who has just learned to walk. It takes a while for them to realise everybody else is walking too. :)

Hmm. I've got three wristwatches and two pocket watches in my regular rotation. Getting the same feeling on those occasions when I need to put on trousers because I'm leaving the apartment though.

I like pocket watches - you can even get digital and weird abstract variations, but I would still have to pull them out of my pocket like I do my phone, so it would be defeating the object.
