Indorex. I suffered delusional parasitosis for a long while after a summer return from uni...my mum hadn't treated the cat. That spray is lethal.

 

There are multiple Brown Widow egg sacs in my patio. They can each have up to 150 spiderlings...

Ever think you just don't care about writing anymore?

 

No, but I've wanted to give up plenty of times. Hang in there. If you don't feel like writing though, give yourself a break.

 

Writing has become a compulsion for me. Whether I care about it or not, it haunts me. It's the spectre making me feel guilty about not writing when I'm working on other things and telling me everything is okay when I'm writing instead of working on other things, often to my detriment.

 

When you live with this type of thing every day, what you describe is fairly minor, especially when a can of insect killer is close at hand. Now if said can was empty (as it often is), that would be a different story altogether.

 

Yuck! Sorry about that. Get checked out for Lyme disease and other tick borne diseases. On the bright side, thank your lucky stars it wasn't an Australian paralysis tick. Those buggers have the same lethality as the most poisonous snakes in the world.

Well, there are warning songs:

 

I give them props for a certain hard rock band that had some pretty good songs...can't remember the name right now. And I petted a miniature kangaroo once that was pretty adorable.

That’s one of the most unsettling things I’ve ever seen. The human-like torso and stance, and the whole “Who the fuck you lookin at?” defiant stare at the camera...

 

If I was more than 8 foot tall and packing that much muscle, "Who the fuck you lookin at?" would be my standard line too.

 

There’s something very unsettling about the way it’s casually bathing in the river, too.

 

I fail at life lately. I thought I could handle something on my own but apparently my willpower sucks. I've damaged relationships perhaps beyond repair and now I'm trying to pick up the pieces, but I don't know if they'll even fit together the same way.

 

That sucks. I think that 2020 has sucker-punched a great many people where it hurts. I'm not sure telling you that many people besides you are failing at life at the moment is all that helpful. But if solidarity is your thing, then you're golden.
