Just an observation given that the page remains usable and accessible, but I noticed yesterday that the site seems to have some part of itself that's getting hung up in the refresh process. I notice it on both my desktop and also my phone, which is using cellular data, not my router. The little "not done yet" dot (or the blue line on my phone) stay stuck for indeterminate amounts of time. Sometimes it goes away upon another refresh; sometimes it just stays like that.

Upper right corner, Member Publications, The Single Eye is coming in as a broken link for the cover thumbnail. Refreshing shows other member titles coming up with good thumbs.

I imagine this has likely been asked before, but can privacy settings in regards to those able to access your forum profile be made more dynamic by the means of the software powering this forum? I don't mind the idea of people that potentially know me in real life scouring the forum for posts I've made, but I don't want to have to follow everyone that I'd like to be able to view my profile and posts. I.E. Could it become filtered to active members? The same goes for progress journals, really.

as i said when you asked that by pm, I'm afraid it can't... xen doesnt give us very fine controls over this kind of thing, the only options are what is available in the drop down all users, members, or people you follow

(and on the progress journals the privacy settings have been broken for a while... i don't know why... hopefully Daniel will look at that in due course)

Hey there, found this thread so posted here hoping I can be pointed to the setting that allows me to change forum message fonts (from Serif to Sans).

Really valuing the forum contents, and especially the tireless work of the mods.
    Thanks

As far as i know you can only change the font you post in, not the reading font for other peoples posts

@NWOPD The account upgrades page is (still) inaccessible for members who have active upgrades:

This reminds me. My supporter's annual charge is still going through yearly payment, but I still have ads and whatnot.

You're not marked as supporter, so I suspect that your contribution was not marked as such. I once had a similar problem, but Daniel corrected it ASAP.

@EFMingo I just added you to the supporter user group... has that changed anything (apart from giving you a supporter banner)

Looks good. I'm only getting member publication there now instead of ads. Thanks.

I would speculate that you got dropped out of the supporter user group by accident when they made you a moderator...

If you have access to the "Active account upgrades" admin page you can check what type of upgrade Mingo has. Not all contributions are supporter upgrades, so it might be that the wrong type of upgrade is active.

(It's also possible that you can see it straight from Mingo's profile in the ACP, I can't remember.)

I noticed that, when multiple votes are allowed, the software calculates percentages as a percentage of the number of people who voted, not the number of votes cast. As of now, the poetry contest has 3 votes and shows each voted entry as having 50%.

Yeah, it's been that way for quite some time. I'm certain it has to do with how the individual lines are coded as a function, treating each instance of voting instead of each vote, for qualification of percentage. Unfortunately, that's going to be a Daniel fix and I haven't heard from him in a little while. Thanks for the report though.

Ive got a feeling that's been looked at before... as i recall its inherent in the Xen software so not even Daniel can fix it.. (there are a number of better plug ins for voting and competitions, but there's no point in buying a plug in for XF1 at this stage, it would be one to look at if/when we upgade to XF2)

Thank you. This one has been off my radar so I’ll add it to my list.

@EFMingo My apologies. You said this has been the case for the past year? If so, did the software still display you with a green username?

Our supporter system is a little buggy, and has been for a while. I believe it’s partly server-side settings and PayPal integration. When I have time I’ll do a full review of our subscription system.

Unfortunately Komposten is right on this one, it’s just the forum software. Hopefully it’s fixed in XF2. If not I’ll make it a feature suggestion/but report with them.
